Venus’s Tridecile: The life of the social environment rarely has an anthropomorphic character. This aspect gives a desire to participate in social moments arising in the spheres of the Planet. These moments represent for the individual an opportunity for self-expression; they feel in them the breath of life that attracts and calls them to apply their efforts. In the Planet’s spheres, the person feels the life of beauty; aesthetic ideals attract them, and fate will give them the opportunity to enliven the Planet’s areas of influence through art, especially with a strong Venus; at a lower level, all this occurs under significant influence of social stereotypes, which threatens the life into which the person steps with rapid destruction. If the individual encounters love in the Planet’s spheres, they may, through proper behavior, greatly enliven it and gain opportunities for deeply human self-expression, although this combines poorly with sexuality understood in a primitive manner. For example, the tridecile Venus-Mars potentially gives strong and humane expressions in love, but attempts by the individual or their partner to force passionate (with animal overtones) desires will end in complete failure, even though the beginning of love may promise very energetic and lively development. Mars’s Tridecile: A barrel of cunning does not replace a spoon of conscience. This aspect gives the individual opportunities and a desire to direct their energy in the Planet’s spheres toward supporting life in the forms in which they are inclined to perceive it. Through energetic participation in this life, their self-expression successfully unfolds—i.e., external realization, and often incidentally also the shaping of inner life, which, when processed, gives them a sense of belonging specifically to the human race, a rare and precious experience for the average person. The Planet’s placement makes the task of supporting life processes complex, and Mars’s affliction gives coarseness to the individual’s energy, yet simultaneously emphasizes the tridecile as one of the paths to its harmonization. This last point subjectively manifests as the individual, in the Planet’s spheres, becoming softer and more delicate without fully understanding why, as if someone constantly reminds them: “Careful, life!” (An attentive observer will notice the softening effect of the decile, quintile, and their derivatives in people who have fallen the lowest). If Mars is harmonious, the individual’s energy in the Planet’s sphere will typically be directed successfully, supporting life (in the case of the Mars-Pluto tridecile, through effective elimination of its parasites), which will be self-evident to the person, yet the result will inspire them more than they realize.
