Saturn sextile: A person’s life should be such that it is worth understanding. The sextile of Saturn gives the individual opportunities for deep processing in the areas ruled by the Planet. However, one must be able to recognize these opportunities, since Saturn’s handwriting, especially at lower levels of its expression, tends to make a person focus more on misfortunes related to external limitations rather than on developing and working through subtle, non-obvious plans and perspectives. At the same time, Saturn’s influence makes the person inwardly serious and purposeful in the areas ruled by the Planet, but this must be consciously acknowledged rather than repressed into the subconscious (which is quite possible at lower levels, especially in fire- and air-dominant horoscopes). Saturn invites the individual to engage deeply with the Planet’s issue, to understand the impact of its principle on inner life, and only then to take active external steps. It promises profound insight into the Planet’s mysteries, wise mastery and control over it—yet within the framework of karma, which in this case imposes significant limitations that must be learned to recognize. At the moment of sextile activation, the person may feel a certain freezing, an external and internal slowing down, as if inviting them to look inward more attentively and thoroughly resolve the planetary principle (usually through the material of a specific problem arising from intensified external or internal restrictions). If the individual stubbornly ignores Saturn’s invitations, Saturn may freeze the Planet, after which the person will study its principle under compulsion. For example, attempts at frivolous attitudes toward love (in any of its forms) during a Saturn-Venus sextile may produce an utterly heartless person, to whom karma later sends, for instance, a passionately loved yet equally indifferent granddaughter, forcing them to experience torments similar to those they once caused. The Chiron sextile offers the individual opportunities for unconventional and almost unbelievable expansion of the Planet’s principle, but realizing this (let alone manifesting it) is often difficult. The manifestation of this aspect may appear as unclear or puzzling circumstances in the areas ruled by the Planet, requiring considerable effort to understand, yet the results bring unexpected insight or an unconventional perspective on the given situation, which then acquires inner meaning. At lower levels of processing, the Chiron sextile provides illusory opportunities for expansion and escape from dead ends in development related to the Planet’s principle, leading the naive, trusting, success-seeking individual into chaos and inner sorrow. Chiron teaches one to work in an unconventional, reliable, practical way, and above all, to resolve inner problems first and only then address outer ones. The individual can learn all this if they understand that the opportunities offered by the Chiron sextile demand not only honest work but also an unconventional approach, and possibly even parting with a portion of their accustomed worldview. Overall, this is a highly promising aspect, giving the person an opportunity to unravel complex and deeply hidden enigmas of their subconscious, to illuminate and reliably bring into consciousness programs that seemed utterly unreachable, sometimes leading to a qualitative leap in the areas ruled by the Planet. Working through this sextile enables not only choosing entirely original paths for developing the planetary principle, but also offering them to others.
