Neptune Conjunction: It is difficult for a soulless person to believe in the immortality of the soul. In areas ruled by the Planet in conjunction with Neptune, it is difficult for a person to concentrate: a meditation begins, which (without working through the aspect) is guided by lower subconscious programs, attempting to put all manifestations of the Planet’s principle at the service of the ego. Neptune creates a constant distortion of vision, false positions, temptations of conscious and unconscious deception in the corresponding spheres, and it is very difficult to free oneself from these influences, as an unworked conjunction provides a very deep and strong penetration of Neptune’s lower octave into the Planet’s principles. If Neptune is in conjunction with Venus, then at a low level of working through the aspect, the person will constantly find themselves in false positions, and simply lie in social contacts and love; however, both of these, as well as accessible forms of art, will be sources of endless pleasure for them, and working through it yields a true connoisseur of art, and perhaps even an artist. Working through the conjunction of Neptune with Saturn is much more difficult, as Neptune’s lower octave diverts Saturn’s gaze, and the person is practically incapable of concentration (a lower meditation quickly begins, and attention drifts away) and self-deepening, which are necessary for developing discipline and inner honesty. Here, working through Pluto helps (which, incidentally, was in sextile to Neptune throughout the second half of the 20th century, promising support), as it is the only planet capable of dispelling Neptune’s charms and deception. At a high level, working through the conjunction with Neptune grants the person, in the spheres ruled by the Planet, a rare ability for true understanding, profound meditations, and external actions through which one can express the Inexpressible, though not everyone is capable of perceiving this. Chiron Conjunction: It is better to serve God selfishly than the devil selflessly. A conjunction with Chiron gives the Planet a special sense of humor, which is initially appreciated more by others than by the person themselves, as the jokes are often at their expense. This aspect creates a karmic necessity for an unconventional working through of the Planet’s principle, stimulated by developmental impasses and incomprehensibly chaotic situations in which an inner meaning is felt, but cannot be understood by remaining in accustomed life positions. For example, a conjunction of Chiron with the Moon can give rise to unusual or ordinary illnesses that, for some reason, do not respond to standard treatments, which can literally exhaust a person until they turn to methods that official medicine considers charlatanism or, at least, highly suspicious. However, only a very harmonious conjunction with Chiron provides a quick, almost miraculous, resolution to problems; usually, it requires the person to seriously master and materialize (at least for themselves) new and initially semi-fantastic views, techniques, or methods. This often requires inner work in the sphere of subconscious programs ruled by the Planet. For instance, working through a conjunction of Chiron with Pluto means revising one’s views (often initially completely unconscious) on fate, spiritual purification and repentance, the interconnectedness of personal and world karma (“the role of the individual in history”), and so on. Working through the conjunction yields unusual creative abilities in areas ruled by the Planet, techniques and methods that create a miraculous effect, yet are entirely “scientific” and “rational” from the perspective of the next generation. Chiron’s main methodological principle is: “To understand is to get used to it.” However, the meaning of working through the conjunction of a Planet with Chiron lies not so much in qualitatively new variations of the Planet’s principle development, but rather in the expansion of consciousness produced with its help.
