5th House in Libra
A. N. Ryzhov. House Cusps in the Signs
Strong love for a spouse, little love for one’s own children.

Juggler. This person wants to have a harmoniously balanced external image of the “self,” whose calling is to be not a warrior but a judge. Their outward behavior is influenced by a sense of social propriety; their clothing will precisely match the social situation in which they find themselves (with a strong defeat in the 5th house, there may be a desire for social detachment instead, but the person still knows exactly how to behave and dress). Here, the images of the “self” are emotionally cool, mental, and inclined toward idealization. Working through (and harmonious aspects) grants greater diplomatic abilities than when the Ascendant is in Libra, since the image of the “self” can be made far more perfect than the personality—it is more easily shaped. External religiosity is energetic: in church, the person receives sources of strength, energy, and inspiration, which must, however, be used with great caution, as any strong energetic channel harbors traits of the corresponding caliber. Here, great attention is required, and above all, selflessness; otherwise, Libra will hopelessly lose its balance, external images of the “self” will become distorted, and, worse still, its judgments will be unjust and its perceptions one-sided.

Invests creative energy into partnerships. Society is the source of their creative power. They are drawn to refined, harmonious, and balanced people. They derive great aesthetic pleasure from listening to music and enjoy intellectual discussions about social changes. They possess artistic abilities that others usually do not recognize. Their artistic creativity is more mental than emotional. They have good diplomatic skills. Their thoughts, desires, and moods are extremely changeable. They can quickly captivate a partner, but once they achieve their goal, they quickly lose interest and seek someone new. The reasons for cooling feelings should be sought in some minor aesthetic flaw—a defect in clothing, an awkward movement, or an inappropriate remark by the partner. They present themselves well. They speak and flirt simultaneously, their mouth speaks while their eyes beckon. Everything comes easily to them. Spiritually active, they attract people like moths to a flame. They have a refined sense of culture and taste. Observant and caring, but emotionally cool. Much of their creative energy goes into forming various partnerships and connections for others. Some people call them a procurer. They are a welcome guest in every home because, thanks to their versatile abilities, they quickly become the life of the party—they are excellent storytellers, cheerful, pleasant conversationalists, humorists, and impressionists. They treat children superficially, even somewhat irresponsibly, trying to instill the most diverse interests in them. Their relationship with children is friendly. The children are gifted and beautiful. They try to give them a great deal of knowledge. They do not punish physically and are not strict with them; the children are a little spoiled.

LIBRA — success in love, the search for reliable support, fear of loneliness. Emotions are hidden, mentally cool. Behavior is always within the bounds of social propriety. External form is always more important than content. Ability to place oneself in second place, yielding first place to a partner. Success through love connections. Enthusiasm for art and theater. Few children. A place of rest — steppes.
