The mountain goat slips from the cliff. This position promises long and difficult changes of egregores: family, work, place of residence. The issue of marriage or release may drag on for years, requiring from the person awareness of something that clearly does not come easily, or such a combination of flexibility and determination, which is very difficult to achieve, and as a result, the person most often prefers simply to wait. Meanwhile, this placement of the 8th house has great karmic significance. Karma attaches great importance to the choice of the current egrégore (family, work, social environment). One should neither rush nor be lazy, but carefully and thoroughly contemplate the signs of fate and work primarily on oneself, creating the necessary conditions through one’s own labor. In case of Capricorn’s debilitation, there may be deep complexes and phobias, a feeling of “I am at the bottom of a deep and terrifying well, and I will never get out.” Psychological crises are prolonged, and the person most often associates them with specific life circumstances, especially poor contact with the collective. However, the purpose of these crises is primarily spiritual development, and specific psychological problems and symptoms that arise should be perceived as signs pointing toward destiny and life goals, after which the crisis should resolve itself. If this does not happen, prolonged depression and eventually personality degradation are possible. Relationships with groups are not simple: the person takes a long time to join them, but once joined, accepts the collective ethics as the basis of their own (in case of debilitation, the person is most often rejected by the collective, at least ideologically). With a harmonious chart, one may serve group interests for a long time, faithfully and devotedly, and the groups encountered are usually successful. Attitude toward occultism may be skeptical, overly pragmatic and materially oriented. But if one manages to connect with a magical egrégore, the person can advance very far, achieving great practical success; mysticism is attained with difficulty, unlike magic.
