War for power and the lack of reforms… may cost us our state. On March 21 at 00:45 Kyiv time, the New Astronomical Year began. And Saturn — the ruler of the previous year — solemnly handed over its authority to the new steward — Jupiter, whose influence we have already begun to feel since the end of February. But more on that later.
In world astrology, Jupiter governs general values and belief systems, state policies capable of ensuring social justice in the spheres of information, governance, and executive power. It is associated with national well-being and the wealth of the country, wealthy people, banks, and the financial life of society. It also represents the highest authority in the country, courts, and churches. This is the general description. Now let’s try to understand the phenomenon of Jupiter in the context of events in Ukraine.
The ingress of Jupiter into the New Astrological Year is characterized by retrograde motion in the 8th house, forming tense aspects to transiting Pluto, natal retrograde Neptune, and the Black Moon in the 1st house, while simultaneously forming a favorable aspect to Uranus in the 3rd house. Accordingly, the main motif of the year will be the REVIEW of existing:
- shared national ideals and value systems;
- the system of state structure and institutions of power;
- rules for the distribution of national wealth;
- financial policy, including tax policy, with consideration of international experience.
This Jupiter also foresees the RESTORATION of the state’s rights to natural resources and property that were lost due to corruption schemes and illegal privatization by private individuals in previous years. This direction in the life of the state will take priority, and social activity in this area will be very high. Few of today’s capital and resource holders will be able to avoid close scrutiny of their “assets” and “achievements” by civil society.
Over the next six months, that is, until September inclusive, corruption scandals involving politicians, influential figures, and oligarchs will reach their most intense level. These will often be covert wars aimed at undermining authority by exposing unflattering circumstances of their personal and business lives through manipulation and distortion of facts. High-ranking officials who initiated or participated in the transfer of resources and enterprises, especially of strategic importance, from state ownership to private business will also become involved. However, many of them have already met their end under mysterious circumstances (as I mentioned earlier regarding Jupiter’s influence in February).
Certain businessmen in power, who are also oligarchs, will attempt to use these trends to redistribute and strengthen their spheres of influence in Ukraine and may even try to impose Putin’s model of governance on our country, where the president is the main arbiter of fate (a hidden form of monarchy — retrograde Jupiter in Leo).
Since retrograde Jupiter will remain in the sign of Leo, which governs theatrical stages, for the next six months, we can confidently say that during this period we will witness vivid scenes played out according to the principle “the people need spectacles.” This will be accompanied by ostentatious grand gestures, loud public statements, and promises from our politicians, as well as incompetent and irresponsible but persuasive figures at the level of populism. As illustrative material on the topic of “fighting corruption,” “heroes” of illegal deals, speculation, and bribes may be presented. Even previously suspended court cases will be resumed, gaining public attention, and some of the “hidden” will become apparent.
However, “spectacles” without “bread” (a sharp decline in people’s living standards) may provoke collective expressions of dissatisfaction and escalate into popular unrest. Such manifestations of the authorities as an overt desire to preserve old governance approaches for personal enrichment, detachment from real social conditions, blatant adventurism in raising tariffs and prices, arrogance, contempt for the lower classes, self-admiration, claims to exclusivity and high birth — precisely this year — may become the “red flag” that turns public dissatisfaction into extremism.
A Jupiter transit through the 8th house is typically accompanied by changes that are painful and even fatal in nature. And there are many factors here. Many of them are well known: potential state bankruptcy, the need to repay previously taken loans, compensation to victims of military actions and occupation, ongoing hostilities, low revenue from customs and tax services, significant financial losses due to fraud and criminal acts by officials.
Therefore, this year’s Jupiter opens new opportunities for civil institutions, which will be able to take a worthy place in the executive authorities, judiciary, and defense by establishing maximum control over their activities. The demand for legality and justice within civil society may find fertile ground in socio-political life, which from September will begin to take on a more stable character and may expand its sphere of influence to the international level.
And one more thing. Those who directly or indirectly privatized Ukraine and for 24 years have been running their personal business on our state must now come to an agreement among themselves and do everything possible to at least halt the bloodthirsty enemy amassed in the east of our country.
In this regard, I would like to cite an interesting historical fact from Andriy Ilarionov. When in the 1st century AD Roman troops besieged Jerusalem, several factions inside the city continued to fight for power among themselves. Jews were killing Jews, food warehouses were burning, and the blood of the defenders of the capital flowed. The Romans waited outside the walls. Jerusalem fell, and Israel ceased to exist for 2,000 years. This is food for thought. So, gentlemen, time is still on your side.
