Ketu in the 1st House
Francesca Sakoyan. Planets in Houses
When attempting to dissolve into a partner, the person precipitates inward. This aspect gives a very personal relationship to tradition, which deeply concerns the individual; he may identify with certain of its elements, yet reject (or outwardly deny, especially when afflicted) tradition as a whole, as an idea necessary for normal human and societal existence. In reality, however, it is less essential (to him and even more so to society) than he imagines, although it does provide means for perceiving the world and expressing himself—means which, with an emphasized South Node, may strongly limit the person. Conversely, the individual approaches new social trends critically; toward many phenomena he does not accept, he may even be openly hostile, and by this principle might even acquire enemies. Yet whatever new influences he does accept, he will inevitably discuss with his partner and follow together with them. It is not unlikely that he will meet a future spouse at a trendy group, lecture, or exhibition. One of the most important tasks of inner development for this person is working through his relationship with the inner enemy, as well as the ethics of external hostility and partnership; here, many discoveries and great opportunities await him. Conversely, work on the personality as such—that is, on patterns of perception and self-expression—should take the form of repair, however thorough, while the fundamental structures should remain intact as a reliable psychological foundation.
Indubala. Planets in Houses (Indian Tradition)
This is usually a sign of a lean physique and the ability to restrict oneself or work zealously toward achieving a specific goal. Sometimes these people may suffer due to family quarrels, may be deeply interested in spiritual or occult matters, and may be absent-minded, carried away by their vivid imagination. Storytelling abilities may manifest, along with an average lifespan.
Het Monster. Planets in Houses
Constant disturbances, absence of peace at home. The man will “dominate,” primarily pursuing his own interests. The individual himself will have a spiritual, even ascetic nature, and will be interested in occultism. Constitution is weak, with persistent health disorders. Predisposition to poisoning. Ketu in conjunction with the Ascendant produces a timid, inconspicuous personality, with possible lack of moral foundations. Generally, the personality is amorphous, different in every environment. If the 1st house is Gemini or Virgo, the person will possess intuition bordering on clairvoyance, easily solving problems that seem insoluble to others; he will be respected for this and may achieve fame, though it will interest him little. If the 1st house is Cancer or Leo, the negative predictions are intensified. Ketu becomes effective in the 48th year of life.
