This aspect brings unusual conditions of imprisonment, often situations of developmental dead-ends or unclear-chaotic development of external events that disorient the person and clearly signify something, but what exactly is difficult to understand. This person does not understand the jokes of fate, and often not even the jokes of people around them; these jokes distress them and make them feel lonely and inadequate. At the same time, it is precisely in isolation that the most interesting and unexpected thoughts may come to this person, through which subtle and not entirely clear concepts and ideas may materialize and take shape. If these ideas are taken seriously and one attempts to understand what is truly constructive and comprehensible within them, insights may be gained that can be defined and made accessible to understanding. Accessing this person’s feelings of pity and compassion is not easy; they may deflect with jokes (even if poorly timed) from another’s quite serious misfortune. On the other hand, if they take disinterested interest in someone, the most unexpected and original ideas may occur to them—on the verge of fantasy, yet sometimes capable of opening the most hopeless impasses for the suffering. If, however, the person takes the path of egoism, consistently ignoring calls and cries for help, they themselves will end up in a dead-end, which upon closer inspection will turn out to be an ordinary prison, from which an exit will only be found by engaging with other people’s problems, ones having no personal connection to them at all. But one should not think this realization will come quickly or painlessly; they will first have to become disillusioned with their own ability to resolve their impasse, and then almost believe in a miracle—for instance, that their external dead-ends are consequences of internal ones, and that one must primarily seek an exit from the latter, while the former may (and preferably should) not be dealt with at all. The sacrifices this person makes must be unusual, yet sufficiently meaningful to them. The key program of the subconscious that needs illumination is a lag in perceiving fundamentally new phenomena of the inner and outer world.
