The Magician. External “I” images are created together with the person and the circumstances of their life, but in addition, there may also be a sense of influence from otherworldly forces. When Chiron is placed in the fifth house, these “I” images contain, regardless of the person’s will, something incomparable that transcends social norms, something difficult to dismiss. Chiron is heavy and persistent, compelling the individual to create unconventional images and play strange roles, generating around them situations (often dead-end and hopelessly chaotic) that cannot be overcome in a conventional way, forcing them to invent a salvational “I” image at the very edge of their capabilities (details will be shown by Chiron’s aspects). This is a very interesting aspect, and in working with it, possibilities emerge at the edge of the conceivable; depending on Chiron’s position in the sign, this may manifest as abilities in hypnosis, working with cosmic energy, meditation, accelerated learning, or unusual creativity in the most diverse fields. The person creates such an image or such a work that it is literally hard to believe in its reality, yet it exists. At a low level, the person constantly encounters situations where it seems as if a jester’s cap is deliberately placed upon them, forcing them against their will to play a role incomprehensible to themselves but highly amusing to others, and they are unable to escape it, which may lead to strong frustrations, especially if Chiron is afflicted; working through this offers good opportunities to confuse others, but (karmically) it is advisable to achieve a constructive effect, for instance, not to question one’s personal image in another’s eyes, but rather to challenge their entire worldview. God may appear one fine day quite unexpectedly and just as unambiguously, whereas until then, in religious feelings, considerable confusion is likely.
