Sun – Pluto Square
(Transit. Sun → Natal Pluto)
Various sources for the child’s horoscope
Such a child may be drawn to superheroes (ordinary people who transform into powerful beings). They will strive to resemble such a personality, displaying boldness and self-confidence. Family issues, such as divorce or the loss of a parent, can amplify the feeling of being stripped of their power and will. The child must learn that there are right and wrong ways to wield personal power. Otherwise, they may resort to using their strength in fights and arguments to feel worthy of it. Parents and teachers should allow such children to recognize their own worth without acting in a presumptuous or harsh manner toward themselves or others. The child may perceive their father as all-knowing and omnipotent or as presumptuous and merciless (these qualities arise in the child’s imagination through observations of life situations).
Het Monster. Aspects
A craving for power, imposing one’s will on others. They show “affection” toward people. They believe the strong are always right. Aggressive toward the opposite sex.
Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary
Opposition, square: anxiety, self-destruction, and a sense of guilt often tied to rejecting the parental model. In reality, this manifests either as superficial friendliness meant to deceive others—hiding the wolf in sheep’s clothing—or as a tendency to undermine others’ systems. As always with Pluto aspects, much of this can be deeply repressed into the subconscious.

Sun square: Never blame the mirror under any circumstances. The Sun square places the planet under the impact of disharmonious impulses of the person’s will and imperative external circumstances. Naturally, the person themselves is unlikely to consider their own volitions disharmonious, and at a low level, they will not notice their own rudeness, harshness, or incompetence—but they will keenly sense these same qualities in their environment and others when the planet’s principle is activated. At the second or third level of processing the square, the person will feel as though external and internal enemies of the planet’s principle are conspiring—sometimes in a crude way—to prevent them from expressing themselves. For example, with a Sun–Moon square, the person may involuntarily make rude mistakes and tactless remarks toward women, possibly fearing and disliking them in secret while simultaneously feeling a strong pull toward them, since their inner image of the mother-figure is significantly distorted and active. If the Sun is in Aries, aggression and sharpness may arise; if in Pisces, false positions and misguided initiatives with unpleasant consequences may follow, and so on. The person pays impersonal attention to what is happening in the planet’s spheres; external initiative is only permitted when forced by circumstances, and even then in minimal measure, as it usually leads to disharmonious outcomes. From the perspective of inner development, this aspect is highly promising for acquiring true mastery over oneself in the planet’s sphere and transitioning to serving a higher egregore, which signifies a more creative and internally free life. With strong energy, one may attempt to master the disharmonious external will and redirect it outward onto others—an aspect of black teachers, especially with a pronounced Sun square to higher planets. Working through this aspect grants the ability to operate subtly, following barely perceptible cues from a higher egregore, weaving the finest threads of karma that may pertain to distant futures. Pluto square: Angelic wings grow where the cross of fate has rubbed raw. The influence of the Pluto square manifests as a certain discomfort for the person regarding the sacrifices in the planet’s sphere that fate demands—at least, that is how it appears to the person. They must accept that these sacrifices will be demanded at an inopportune moment and will bring unpleasant consequences of seemingly unnecessary and irrelevant quality—but such, unfortunately, is the nature of this karmic program. The Pluto square is the aspect of Job, which, fortunately, does not always go as far. The person will be sharply dissatisfied with the manifestations of the planet’s principle in the external world and will feel compelled to restore order, for which they will need corresponding power. However, the karmic design is precisely the opposite: to bring purity and order to the planet’s principle within the person’s inner world and subconscious, for which they must gain mastery over their instincts and lower impulses belonging to the planet. Until the person becomes aware of this, they will repeatedly face difficult sacrifices and fate that pursues them to the same degree that the person invokes it—whether unconsciously or consciously, intentionally or unintentionally, from noble or base motives. A crucial point is that in the planet’s sphere, the person acts like a magnifying glass, vividly exposing their own (and others’) smallest imperfections and flaws. This aspect offers great opportunities for inner growth and purification while simultaneously presenting the world with black teachers of a dictatorial type who eradicate the lower and middle expressions of the planet’s principle in the external world through power, fire, and sword, leaving only the finest (which go unseen) or, at times, mere ashes. At an average level, harsh behavior with elements of crude authority and nihilism toward others is characteristic, combined with a desire to master the planet’s principle themselves. Internally, the person deeply wishes to present its ideal to the world, but it simply does not work out—or, in their view, the world is not yet ready and thus incapable of recognizing the perfection placed before it.

This is a very severe case. Essence and sexual energy do not align, leaving the person devoid of the opportunity for development. Either it manifests as hypersexuality used on a purely animalistic level—through sympathy or even parasympathy—or as hyposexuality. A square is a rapist, a maniac. Whether they act on these impulses depends on other aspects. A mafia boss, a crime lord, a secret police officer.
Frances Sakoian. Aspects
A craving for power, imposing one’s will on others. They are domineering, authoritarian, and intense, usually showing people their goodwill—but it would be better if they did not. They believe the strong are always right, which provokes resistance in others. Aggressive toward the opposite sex.
S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets
These are aspects of self-assertion, a struggle for popularity, power, success; they bring dictatorship, a desire to command, authoritarianism, conflicts with others, inability to adapt, carelessness, recklessness, impatience; a tendency toward accidents, danger of surgical operations, inflammatory diseases. The positive side is that the struggle for popularity can serve as a stimulus for self-improvement; these aspects can provide the ability to achieve goals and the skill to win.
