Sun Square Uranus

Square Sun – Uranus

(Transit. Sun → Natal Uranus)

Various sources for the child’s horoscope

Your child may exhibit capricious or eccentric behavior. Sometimes the need to oppose authority figures (such as a father or teacher) can lead to conflicts within the family and social environment. The child may find themselves in situations that bring failure or unusual circumstances. The child may perceive the father as an exceptional person or as overly unreliable and irresponsible. Occasionally, they may see the father as the only individual of their kind, believing they can never become like him.

Het Monster. Aspects

Capricious, irrational, and eccentric behavior. Original ideas are usually realized, but patience, experience, and discipline are lacking. They work in bursts, by fits and starts. In critical situations, nervous tension leads to irrational actions, which can undo the results of long-term work. Pride and a desire for freedom prevent them from heeding others’ advice. They often have many friends, but they choose those who worship them. They can become bitter enemies when hostility is fueled by real or imagined injustice.

Katrin Ob’ye. Astrological Dictionary

Conjunction: an aspect that clearly accentuates and fully reveals the individual’s personal traits. Under its influence, a person seeks to demonstrate their uniqueness to the outside world, using unconventional methods and displaying a creative, innovative approach. There is also a thirst for power—spiritual and intellectual power—desiring to be a teacher or mentor, setting an example for others. Opposition, square: the meaning is the same as the conjunction, but with a certain “excess.” A person is willing to go to any extremes to prove their uniqueness and assert themselves. They choose inopportune moments for self-affirmation, reject systems and ideologies, scatter their energy, and may surprise others with sudden mood swings. Unable to see themselves objectively, they impose absolute judgments on others, often more than others do. This often stems from a sharp break with parental models, complicating the formation of a stable identity, leading to character instability, and prompting rebellion simply to be noticed.

Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects

Square Sun: Never blame the mirror under any circumstances. The square of the Sun places the planet under the impact of disharmonious impulses of the person’s will and imperative external circumstances. Naturally, the person themselves does not tend to consider their own volitions as disharmonious, and at a low level, they will not notice their own rudeness, harshness, or incompetence. However, they will keenly sense these qualities in their environment and other people when the planetary principle is activated. At the second or third level of processing the square, the person may feel as though they are both an external and internal enemy of the planetary principle, whose goal—sometimes crudely—is to prevent them from manifesting. For example, in a square between the Sun and the Moon, a person may involuntarily make rude mistakes and display tactlessness in dealing with women, possibly even secretly fearing and disliking them, while simultaneously feeling a strong attraction to them, as their internal image of the mother-figure is significantly distorted and active. If the Sun is in Aries, aggression and harshness may arise; if in Pisces, false positions and misguided initiatives with unpleasant consequences may occur, and so on. The person pays impersonal attention to what happens in the spheres of the planet; external initiative is only allowed when forced by circumstances and to a minimal extent, as it usually leads to disharmonious outcomes. From the perspective of inner development, this aspect is highly promising for acquiring true power over oneself in the sphere of the planet’s influence and transitioning to service of a higher egregore, meaning a more creative and internally free life. With good energy, one can attempt to master the disharmonious external will and redirect it past oneself toward others—an aspect of black teachers, especially with a pronounced square between the Sun and higher planets. Working through it grants the ability to act subtly, following barely perceptible hints from a higher egregore, weaving delicate threads of the finest karma, sometimes concerning distant futures. Square Uranus: A mediocre talent seeks moments of inspiration, while a great one seeks moments of rest from it. Squares to higher planets produce an effect that lasts a year, and resisting it is futile—or rather, harmful, as incorrect behavior in the spheres of the planet involved in the square with a higher one can seriously disrupt (and harm those around) one’s life. However, a person chooses how to relate to what is happening and how to perceive it—the so-called point of view: both the point they are looking at and the point from which they are looking, meaning the position they occupy. This choice largely determines the processing of squares to higher planets and, consequently, fate within the framework of world karma. For example, a square between Venus and Uranus not only creates an irresistible tendency toward eccentric and uncontrollable social behavior in the most suitable conditions but also an inability to love a partner who does not change over time—it becomes unbearably boring for the person. In response, they can either change partners every month or change their perspective on the same person daily, discovering something fundamentally new in them, though the latter is much more difficult. Generally, the square to Uranus grants the planet genius at the edge of normality (sometimes beyond it), but constructively realizing Uranian ideas and revelations can be very challenging. A person must strive to understand the meaning of their eccentricity, learn to read Uranian signs in planetary manifestations, and then they may begin to partially perceive the complex karmic pattern woven around them. They may even reveal to the world something previously unseen, incomprehensible, and impossible—yet real. The manifestations of the Uranus square cannot be understood; they can only be adapted to and learned to use in some way. Despite any luck or effectiveness in their application, the person will always feel as though they are firing cannons at sparrows, while the worthy Uranian goal remains invisible. The Uranus square provides excellent opportunities to obstruct others, and if a person sets out to hinder evil and involutionary programs, they can become very inventive in this. Unfortunately, most often, this square is used to disrupt the evolutionary flow, creating turbulence within it—karmic knots—through which the creativity of the Absolute manifests. However, the person through whom this creativity is realized becomes a black teacher. Yet, for the fate of the individual, it matters little at what level and how this black teaching occurs—whether as a critic, informant, or executioner. Therefore, one should be attentive to the manifestations of the Uranus square, as even minor accents (including one’s inner attitude toward what is happening) can have far-reaching consequences.

Frances Sakoian. Aspects

Whimsical behavior, irrational and eccentric. Original ideas, but usually impractical or lacking experience, patience, discipline. Work is done in bursts. Arbitrariness, a tendency to dramatize one’s personality, rejection of any routine, which can be destructive. In a critical situation, nervous tension leads to irrational behavior, undoing long-term efforts. Pride and freedom at any cost prevent listening to advice. Often they occupy leadership positions, advocate for brotherhood, have many friends, but choose those who worship them. They can become bitter enemies when enmity is fueled by real or imagined injustice. These tendencies do not always manifest but often surface when it is time to reap the fruits of their efforts.
