Venus Square Mars
(Transit. Venus → Natal Mars)
Various sources for the child’s horoscope
Your child is charming and impulsive. Their emotions are intense and powerful, but sometimes they may be overly assertive in expressing them. They are affectionate and openly share their likes and feelings, but if they are not reciprocated, it deeply wounds them. When they feel unappreciated or dissatisfied with themselves, this child may criticize others. They may find self-expression through creativity and art. It is important to help them develop graceful, fluid body movements so they do not feel clumsy or helpless. Playing percussion instruments, dance sports, or any form of gymnastics will channel their creative energy into focus and purpose.
Het Monster. Aspects
Difficulties in love. A tendency to use the opposite sex solely for sexual gratification—or being used in such a way. Lack of tact. Men behave roughly toward women, while women can drive men to fury. With a strong Mars, there is a love of crude jokes; with a strong Venus, sensitivity and a refusal to tolerate any rudeness.

Opposition, square: love-desire and love-tenderness are perceived as incompatible—thus, physical attraction and tender, sensual affection rarely coexist toward the same person. In other cases, these aspects manifest as love-as-battle, love-as-duel. This is a confrontation where one emerges as the victor and the other as the vanquished. The person thinks only of their desires, their satisfaction, forgetting the existence of the other or behaving like a child.

Venus Square: Relationships between people are rarely humane. The Venus square creates difficulties in social interactions, where one often encounters rudeness, poor understanding, and inappropriate behavior. The person craves love, understanding, and deep involvement in social life—yet in these matters, they are capricious, intolerant, and often fail to grasp essential nuances. Above all, they lack empathy in communication, and their encounters frequently end in bitter disappointment. Generally, karmic programs symbolized by a square often begin smoothly and even promisingly, much like a trine, but as the person becomes emotionally, mentally, and existentially engaged, they begin to feel resistance, burden, and the necessity of hard work.
Even a Sun-Mars square may first manifest as a harsh blow of fate, disguised as an attractive adventure. Similarly, the most unfortunate (in hindsight) love affair still begins with bright moments—moments to which (especially when dealing with a Venus square) one should respond with great caution and attention.
At a low level, the Venus square fosters disharmonious social egoism and, paradoxically, self-sacrifice. In other words, if a person has weak energy, society does not favor them and readily sacrifices them without remorse; if the person has sufficient strength, they themselves distort the lives of others, clumsily and crudely manipulating them for selfish ends—leaving others worse off and themselves no better off, except for a fleeting moment followed by disappointment.
In the areas governed by Venus, this person will have highly distinctive and sharp aesthetic preferences (sometimes crude), making it difficult to please them—leading to capriciousness at a low level, or, at a high level, an original creative style in art. The Venus square often creates significant obstacles on the path to art (though it also fuels a strong need for it), including poor teachers or strained relationships with them. If they succeed, they will grow primarily through inner effort and self-education, always relying on their own instincts. Will they ever feel true artistry? (Just as a Mercury square breeds irrepressible doubts: “Are my thoughts truly intelligent?” even when universally recognized.) This is undeniably unpleasant but prevents the person from settling for mediocrity—a trait characteristic of squares in general.
Mars Square: A razor honed for literary precision should not be used to chop cabbage. The Mars square lends planetary expressions roughness, disharmonious force that undermines their principle in all subtle manifestations. This destruction occurs both internally and externally, and if the person does not actively resist it, the effects can be severe.
Karmically, the Mars square signifies a prohibition on direct, unmediated energetic expression of the planetary principle (which never emerges harmonious or constructive) and demands the development of its higher octave. The person is deeply drawn to the areas governed by the planet, pulled there by some force, and their self-assessment of their abilities (and often their achievements) in these spheres may be inflated—though failures and disappointments will not be long in coming.
At a low level, this person may sometimes be dangerous to others in the areas ruled by the planet, but they ultimately pose the greatest danger to themselves. With the Mars square, the law of karma, which repays the introduction of disharmony into the world, acts swiftly and energetically—sometimes the backlash strikes only the inner world, where inner destruction occurs, invisible to others, except that the person’s overall level declines sharply.
In inner life, this aspect offers significant potential for growth—awareness of one’s crude subconscious programs, including almost animalistic instincts (represented here vividly and distinctly, especially when the planet is activated), and their transformation into a more civilized and acceptable form—that is, shifting to higher vibrational energies. Working through this aspect allows the person to engage with the planet on lower energies while revealing subtleties of its principle that would otherwise remain inaccessible. The person will understand the destructive power of the planet in its lower octave, granting insight into its manifestations in others and the ability to help them process its principle—particularly in taming their lower nature in the relevant areas. However, they will never fully master the free flow of its vibrations at a low level. Thus, a Mars-Venus square may produce a refined libertine or an excellent sexologist, but never a sexual giant.
Frances Sakoian. Aspects
Emotional difficulties in love. A tendency to use the opposite sex solely for sexual gratification or being used in such a way. Lack of taste or tact in daily life. Strong instincts. One must learn to control oneself. Unbridled passions will harm oneself. Men behave offensively and roughly toward women. Women can provoke men to anger and irritation. With a strong Mars, there is a love of crude jokes; if Venus is stronger, sensitivity arises, and crude behavior easily wounds. Emotional sensitivity does not mean they care about others’ feelings. There is no harmony or satisfaction in family life.
S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets
Sensuality, vulnerability, extravagance, immorality, indecency, passion, lust, tendencies toward perversion and debauchery. Disharmony in love, unrestrained emotions, conflict, scandalous behavior, loudness. Untidiness, untidiness, untidiness. Working on this aspect produces talented individuals with creative abilities and passion in their art.
