Your child may have a photographic memory. However, in communication, they often do not express themselves directly, as they protect their inner world. Your child can absorb facts and details like a sponge and remember them forever. But their natural mode is not “thinking,” but “feeling.” This child thinks, learns, and responds on an emotional level. Do not try to reach them through logic and reason—it will not work. They have very strong intuition. Your child will know a lot, but will not be able to explain why or how. Still, trust what they know. Much of what goes on in their mind will remain hidden forever.
This child has a vivid imagination that flourishes in creative activities—such as painting, dance, theater, literature, and poetry. Encourage this! Your child will likely be very conscientious about schoolwork, but will not willingly speak up or answer until they feel completely confident. This child needs to work at their own pace, without engaging in competition. A strong memory will help in subjects where facts are important.
