Moon in Opposition to Chiron

Moon opposition: By restraining the aggressiveness of your desires, you help establish peace on Earth. An opposition of a planet to the Moon gives a person a very biased attitude toward the planetary principle, which they experience as vitally important, and at the very least, they feel the planet’s manifestations very emotionally. At a low level, a person constantly tries to take an egocentric position, that is, to internalize and emphasize the Moon, as a result of which the planetary principle is externalized, often in the form of another person onto whom all of their own inner dissatisfaction and disharmony is projected—meaning the partner is declared the culprit of all misfortunes. A partner who had the misfortune to give good advice to a Moon in aspect to Mercury risks facing a tantrum like: “I’m so miserable, and it’s all your fault and your idiotic advice and reasoning!”
In such egoistic positions, decisively unable to recognize their own flaws (which, in a damaged chart, can lead to nervous and somatic illnesses), a person clings to their habits, physical body, homeland, or people, taking the planetary principle (and the house where the planet is located) as the foundation of their position. For example, in a Moon opposition to Venus, the position might be: “It’s ugly to be fat and eat a lot,” and the person goes on a grueling diet, but only lasts until the Moon moves on, then, with satisfaction, munches on a sandwich while watching figure skating on TV without a second thought. The main problem here is reconciling the planetary principles, as the Moon must abandon the idea of consuming the planetary principle entirely (which would kill it), yet also not starve the person—meaning finding a compromise diet. This work is difficult, requiring self-sacrifice, discipline (Saturn), and inner honesty (Neptune, Pluto), but yields excellent results: the person subtly, deeply, and confidently masters the planetary principle, which becomes a natural and reliable support for them.
Chiron opposition: By retreating too deeply into yourself, you risk emerging from the opposite side. A Chiron opposition sets two main tasks for the planet: qualitatively expanding its principle and materializing it in areas previously considered subtle, the most refined, and entirely elusive. At a low level, however, Chiron does not provide expansion or materialization but instead chaos and developmental dead ends. If, at this moment, the emphasis in the opposition is on the planet and the person identifies with its principle, Chiron manifests in the external world, creating incredible fuss, disorder, unimaginable (often very original) obstacles, and dead ends in the spheres related to the planet—senses and causes that are incomprehensible to the person. If they do not work on their views of the planetary principle and master it in a much broader sense—essentially moving to the next level of processing the planet—the external circumstances will be arranged so that the person loses their identification with the planet’s principle. The latter is externalized and revealed in the outside world, beyond former limits of accessibility (for example, a pilot becomes an airport worker), and the main emphasis in the opposition shifts to Chiron, which, having taken root internally, leads to established views and a frequent sense of an inner dead end accompanied by despair.
Processing here occurs through the planet’s principle accepting and mastering Chiron’s paradoxes while Chiron plays in the external world, granting the planet (and the person in its spheres of influence) extraordinary, almost surreal abilities and talents that will amaze everyone (including the person themselves) with their persuasive power. Processed Chiron is very material, and working through its opposition offers an interesting variant of talent—sustained, non-trivial vision and creativity in the spheres related to the planet. For example, processing a Chiron opposition to Pluto (which will cost the person a great deal) grants extraordinary critical abilities; it is very difficult to evade the sharp, witty remarks of such a person or suppress them in the subconscious, as they are so precise, fair, and convincing.
True processing of the opposition to Chiron requires deep inner work and mastering conscious control over the subconscious programs related to the spheres of the planet’s influence.
A. Ryzhov. Health, Ascendant, Sun, Moon
This is complete loss of emotional control. The astral body is irritated. Such a state both loves and hates at the same time. Chiron always gives the Moon such a set of emotions that it shines in all its glory. You’ve never thought of yourself this way before. Chiron slowly makes the aspect and loves to make loops on the aspect in transit. It can take three years to go back and forth over the same spot. The astral body is still being polished. There’s simply nothing left of it. The person falls into a state of ambivalence; they can’t understand anything because any deviation from the middle path threatens a major blow to their emotions. This immediately drains their vitality. Beware of Chiron—it’s not a deceptive planet, it’s a teacher planet.
