Pluto in Leo

This nearly twenty-year period of Pluto in Leo (1938–1957) was one of leadership, power, and drama, beginning during World War II and culminating in the detonation of the first atomic bomb. It continued through the Cold War between the powerful forces of capitalism and communism, as the world faced the threat of mass destruction and the unleashed forces of ruin. The children born during this time, inclined to deeply explore individual creative expression, grew into countercultures focused on individuality; some even broke away from mass culture society, protesting in this way against the abuse of power.
