Sun-Square Uranus
(Transit. Sun → Natal Uranus)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Sun’s semisquare: Fate places a person under strict conditions only when there is absolutely no way out. This aspect imparts rigid forms of possible expressions of will within the areas ruled by the Planet, and certain (fated) types of imperative situations to which the person will have to adapt, even though it will be unpleasant for them. For example, the Sun-Venus semisquare may bring high programmability (that is, a limited number of possible storylines) in social and romantic relationships, where the plot suddenly begins to exceed expected boundaries, and the person, by their own will, diligently forces it back within those limits, often distorting and maiming their own and others’ feelings and destinies, without understanding, without understanding, without understanding. At a low level of integration, the Sun’s semisquare is a very difficult aspect—this represents, within the Planet’s domains, a variant of work that the person pretends to do, at least in terms of their initiatives and reactions to external imperative circumstances. Here, imagination is lacking; however, on the other hand, in certain cases, this person can be relied upon more than anyone else, and with harmonious major aspects between the Sun and the Planet, they may become the ideal executor of clear and precise (to them) instructions and orders. There is a characteristic subconscious feeling of constrained will and limited initiative, which gradually weakens (but never completely disappears) as the person begins engaging with issues in the Planet’s sphere that are not personally connected to them; however, initially this will manifest awkwardly, with possible traumas both in the external world and psychological ones, along with a complex of one’s own inappropriateness, awkwardness, and inadequacy. Uranus’ semisquare: Real difficulties begin when the person ceases to satisfy their own concept. At a high level of integration, this aspect grants inventiveness in assembling structures from ready-made blocks within the Planet’s sphere, where the person will receive the most unexpected and sometimes brilliant ideas, but ultimately the house they design and build will be comfortable and cozy only for other people; if the person carefully considers others’ wishes, then from their own perspective the house will still turn out lifeless, albeit original in construction. For example, a person with a Moon-Uranus semisquare and Uranus in the sixth house might devise an excellent system of physical exercises or techniques for self-control, relaxation, etc., which will produce only an external, superficial effect for themselves, yet prove deeply alive and meaningful for others, and it is precisely toward others that they should orient themselves in developing it. At a low level, this aspect causes fixation within rigid whims and caprices in the Planet’s spheres, which the person cannot explain but which will be mandatory for them, often hurting those around them and themselves. Such signs should be paid attention to, but correctly interpreting them will be difficult; there is particularly great danger of dogmatic and straightforward interpretations, especially when the semisquare is afflicted, escalating to the point of obsession.
