Jupiter sesquiquadrate: To whom much is given, something entirely different will be required. This is the aspect of homegrown philosophers within the sphere of the Planet. Here, the person will tend toward dogmatic thinking in many areas, the basic building blocks of which, upon closer inspection, turn out to be very solid yet equally unwieldy, making it quite difficult to construct from them a light, heaven-directed temple. In its harmonious variation, this individual may demonstrate philanthropic tendencies in the planetary spheres, but usually in a narrow sense and ultimately not entirely selfless—rather, as a result of failure in fully grasping the subtleties of the planetary principle and integrating it broadly. Generally, Jupiter brings happiness and expanded opportunities, but in this case, it occurs mechanically and formally, without regard for the person’s true desires, so that its joy may often be poisoned, or what happens may seem to them utterly mocking—like receiving a stuffed puppy instead of a real one for their birthday. This element of formal charity and misguided advocacy is overcome with great difficulty, especially since the person receives from life (within the planetary spheres) not the best examples to follow. Nevertheless, working through this requires deep (not broad) penetration into the planetary spheres and using one’s available capacities genuinely to help others, without regard to strengthening one’s sense of self-importance; only then will the divine voice truly resonate within the temple the person has built. Uranus sesquiquadrate: Real difficulties begin when the person ceases to satisfy their own concept. At a high level of integration, this aspect grants inventiveness in assembling structures from ready-made components within the planetary sphere, bringing the person the most unexpected and sometimes brilliant ideas. Yet ultimately, the house they design and build will be comfortable and cozy only for other people—if the person carefully considers their wishes. From their own perspective, the house will still feel lifeless, even if original in design. For example, someone with a Moon-Uranus sesquiquadrate and Uranus in the 6th house might devise an excellent system of physical exercises or techniques for self-control, relaxation, etc., which gives only an external, superficial effect for themselves, yet proves deeply vital and meaningful for others—and it is toward others that they should orient its application. At a low level, this aspect produces fixation on rigid whims and caprices within the planetary spheres, which the person cannot explain but considers mandatory, often hurting both those around them and themselves. Such signs should be noted, but interpreting them correctly will be difficult; especially great is the danger of dogmatic and simplistic interpretations when the sesquiquadrate is afflicted, potentially escalating into obsession.
