Mercury Sesquiquadrate Mars

Avelom Podvodnyi. Aspects
Mercury sesquiquadrate: The person is unable to grasp the truth expressed in words. This aspect creates discomfort in movement and coarseness in thinking within the spheres of the planet; however, the individual often remains unaware of this and insists stubbornly on their own opinions. For example, a Mercury-Moon sesquiquadrate may result in poor memory and rigid thinking, yet the knowledge and reasoning that are barely acquired will be constantly exploited by the person and used loyally, rightly or wrongly, wherever possible—and even where it is not—with great difficulty in being rationally convinced otherwise. The Mercury sesquiquadrate is extremely difficult to work through, as the person, usually sensing the limitations of their intellect in the planetary spheres, either gives up entirely in this regard or, conversely, carefully represses these shortcomings into the subconscious and convinces themselves of the unquestionable significance and power of their thoughts, rejecting any foreign mode of thinking. At a low level of aspect integration, especially when clothed with authority, such a person may become an official ideologue within the planetary spheres, whose logical framework rests upon two foundational pillars: Conformity and Non-Conformity to the Sacred Truth, which has already been definitively discovered and irrevocably formulated in their works. At a high level of integration, the person attains subtlety and clarity of thought capable of precisely directing effort and carefully constructing a mental model within the planetary spheres, whenever and to the extent that it is possible. Mars sesquiquadrate: Generally, things have turned out as they are—if what emerged can be called relationships, and what occurred can be called addition. For this person, within the planetary spheres, it is difficult to direct energy with flexible responsiveness to circumstances or to react subtly to external force. Another’s aggression triggers in them a reactive response, often disproportionate in both intensity and relevance. At the same time, they may remain unresponsive to weak external influences for a long time, then suddenly, in response to a minor trigger—the drop that overflows an entirely unrelated cup—explode with outrage: subjectively perhaps justified, but objectively unjust. This person will suffer from the coarseness, energy, and aggression directed at them from the external world, finding it difficult to deal with them in a sufficiently civilized manner; yet simultaneously, their own aggressive instincts within the planetary spheres will be particularly crude and poorly controlled, and their activity will often, without their own awareness, take on harsh forms. For example, an unworked Mars-Saturn sesquiquadrate brings, along with vulnerability to aggression, rigidity in demands toward others, potentially escalating to implacability; it is important for such a person to understand that high demands toward others are usually subconsciously motivated by dissatisfaction with oneself, and to become aware of their own failures and shortcomings. Here, proper integration provides excellent tools and enables functioning at high energetic vibrations.
