Mercury sesquiquadrate: The person is unable to grasp the truth expressed in words. This aspect brings discomfort in movement and coarseness of thought within the areas of the planet; the individual, however, often remains unaware of this and insists stubbornly on their opinions. For example, a Mercury-Moon sesquiquadrate may result in poor memory and restricted thinking, yet the knowledge and reasoning that are barely acquired will be constantly exploited by the person and used loyally and unquestioningly, both where appropriate and even where inappropriate, and it is very difficult to rationally convince them otherwise. The Mercury sesquiquadrate is extremely difficult to work through, since the person, usually sensing the limitations of their intellect in the planetary areas, either gives up entirely in this regard or, conversely, carefully represses these shortcomings into the subconscious and convinces themselves of the unquestionable significance and power of their thoughts, rejecting any foreign mode of thinking. At a low level of aspect integration, especially when clothed with authority, such a person may become an official ideologue in the planetary spheres, whose logical schemes rest upon two foundational pillars: Conformity and Non-conformity to the Sacred Truth, which has already been definitively discovered and irrevocably formulated in their works. At a high level of integration, the person attains subtlety and clarity of thought capable of precisely directing effort and carefully constructing a mental model within the planetary spheres, whenever and to the extent this is possible. Uranus sesquiquadrate: God does not wish His existence to be proven by scientific methods, as they appear to Him insufficiently convincing. This aspect brings a partially awkward approach to Uranian revelations within the planetary spheres—meaning the person processes them crudely and without proper respect, as a result of which these revelations, like Uranian signs themselves, usually perish. For example, a Moon-Uranus sesquiquadrate may allow for subtle diagnosis of one’s own (and others’) physical illnesses, and at a higher level the person may learn to use their body as an extremely refined diagnostic instrument for physical fields, to predict earthquakes, etc., but all this requires great effort, particularly careful observation and interpretation of one’s biological reactions as reflections of external physical reality, and sometimes of one’s own karma. At a low level, the Uranus sesquiquadrate brings sudden whims and stubbornness in the planetary sphere, adherence to often clumsy ideas poorly suited to solving relevant problems—in unprocessed form, this is the aspect of mad inventors with incomplete education; at a high level, inventions succeed, and the person may create astonishing devices, tools, and methods far ahead of their time, though the true meaning of their discoveries will most likely remain incomprehensible to them.
