Quindecile Mercury – Pluto
(Transit. Mercury → Natal Pluto)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Mercury’s quindecile: While remaining alone with one’s thoughts, be careful not to let them stagnate. This person is vividly interested in manifestations and developmental difficulties of life within the areas of the Planet; they will tend to apply their intellect there, or at least speak about these topics. When worked through, this aspect provides good opportunities for rational understanding of life development issues in the Planet’s domains and potential mental vitality directed toward solving them. By realizing their intellectual abilities in this way, the person will feel great satisfaction from the human essence within themselves. This aspect gives a need (and opportunities) for self-expression in the Planet’s sphere through mental activity, and during its integration, this self-expression will be both lively and interesting to others. For example, a quindecile between Mercury and Jupiter, when integrated, may produce an original and direct spiritual leader, with a lively and inventive mind, authoritative precisely to the necessary degree: “…for My burden is light”… at a lower level, the person may consider themselves an exceptional expert (and benefactor) in life manifestations of analysis, both in terms of philosophical generalizations, and overall gives life-giving insights, yet the thought of life itself regarding its successes in these areas will concern them little. Pluto’s quindecile: While governing the destinies of nations, one should not forget one’s own. This aspect potentially provides a clear vision of flaws and defects in life development within the Planet’s spheres; moreover, if Pluto is afflicted, the person may see only these flaws, creating an overall rather gloomy picture. A harmonious Pluto will grant the individual great opportunities for effectively curing these ills, particularly by eliminating parasitic life forms, from which they may derive great satisfaction. For example, an integrated quindecile between Pluto and the Moon may produce a good physician (especially with a strong sixth or twelfth house), and a quindecile between Pluto and Venus—a harsh art critic, biting satirist, or, with a strong Mercury, a journalist who lashes out at societal sores. At a lower level, criticism of life development in the Planet’s spheres may become destructive and largely unjust, yet usually stems from good intentions and for the greater good, though it does not always bring benefit, especially if the Planet is afflicted. With severe damage to the quindecile, tendencies toward black teaching of life manifestations may arise—that is, their conscious destruction—usually at the lowest level, as a consequence of personal frustrations accompanied by painful failures when attempting to discover (within the Planet’s spheres) life development in their inner world and express it outwardly.
