Sun sextile: Incorrect choice most often does not mean frivolity or error, but betrayal of one’s God. The Sun’s sextile gives a person opportunities in the areas ruled by the Planet, whose realization will require willpower and initiative from him; it is also likely that during the process of working with these opportunities, he will encounter rather rigid, imperative circumstances which, however, will not be hostile, but rather potentially friendly, though demanding a certain approach and mutual adaptation. The Sun’s sextile seems to throw a masculine challenge to the person (in the areas corresponding to the Planet), offering to test the presence of willpower capable of overcoming obstacles and establishing cooperation; at the same time, the obstacles implied are non-antagonistic, and the cooperation is expected to be beneficial and effective. If the person does not feel ready to accept this challenge, he may decline it: once, twice, three times… after some time, such a consistent unwillingness to accept any constructive offers from fate begins to work against the person; he degrades and falls into rigid karmic programs where his choice is minimal or completely absent. On the other hand, the Sun’s sextile provides a very valuable opportunity to work through its principle—namely, one’s will—during constructive activity related to the Planet. By resolving inner issues arising in connection with such activity, the person learns to properly direct his will, gains the ability to determine which egregore influences him, and to harmonize it with external circumstances and various subconscious programs. For example, the Sun–Moon sextile is a highly promising aspect; it provides great opportunities for both physical and spiritual development; at a high level, this is an aspect of spiritual teachers who thoroughly understand the relationship between higher and lower instincts in a particular individual and know how to set it on a constructive path of evolutionary development. Venus sextile: By rejecting love, a person not only rejects God, but loudly calls upon the devil. The Venus sextile gives a person opportunities and an inner felt need for socialization and development of the aesthetic principle in the spheres ruled by the Planet. For example, with Venus sextile Mercury, a person deeply desires to attract people through the beauty of his speech, the refinement of thought, and perfection of written composition, and fate will provide him with opportunities for corresponding development, although this does not necessarily mean a literary institute (for the latter, a trine to Venus is preferable, and not so much to Mercury). The Venus sextile gives great constructive power of love in the Planet’s spheres. This is a very favorable aspect, since love is a good motivator for work, and the person most often willingly makes certain efforts toward understanding and working through the Planet’s principle, as a result of which the latter (under Venus’s influence) improves significantly and becomes gentler. However, a person at a low level of Venus development, oriented exclusively toward consumption, will not engage in any activity requiring effort, even when the light of possible love touches his face, and will later bitterly regret it, or finally harden in solitary egoism. Karma always implies working through, or at least periodic activation of aspects, and if a person ignores Venus’s influence through a sextile from a Planet, the latter’s principle will suffer from misunderstanding and lack of love, which will also affect the person overall. Unworked Venus sextiles turn into particularly harsh counterblows from fate, so that the person can understand how essential what he voluntarily rejected earlier truly was.
