Sextile of Uranus: As it breaks through in a person, genius actively hinders him from breaking through in life. Sextiles of higher planets grant opportunities that not everyone will seize. Specifically, the sextile of Uranus supplies good ideas (which, however, demand substantial development to manifest) only to the person who has worked through the planet’s principle to a sufficiently high level. Then he begins to value the often highly original ideas Uranus sends him. Naturally, the sextile of Uranus makes the planetary principle for the person anything but dull—sometimes even thrilling—but one must learn to perceive Uranian influences in their true worth. At the start of working through them, there will be much foolish eccentricity that is not worth anything, and a few potentially creative ideas that, however, require careful verification and refinement. The sextile of Uranus is an invitation to great creativity in the spheres governed by the planet, but the gift of this creativity is not granted without effort. Working through it produces a truly creative nature and a constant creative choice that distinguishes the true artist, and at a high level, the ability to awaken this gift in others.
At a low level, the person does not understand the actions and possibilities offered by Uranus; they seem to him beautiful or partly frightening, yet meaningless and futile—like Bengal fire—or, in the case of Uranus’ defeat, sometimes take on the character of an overvalued idea. Here, working through begins with learning to perceive Uranian manifestations (unusual events, etc.) in the sphere of the planet as fateful signs pointing to the possibility of constructive and potentially creative application of one’s forces. As one works through it, the person gradually learns (the language of Uranian signs and hints peculiar to his fate) and begins to strive for it. Yet this striving, at the very least, will always feel like a template; behavior in such situations bores him profoundly.

The sextile of Neptune grants the person the ability to truly comprehend the planet’s principle, but this demands certain effort from him—often of a kind to which the person is neither prepared nor accustomed. At some point, the level and manner of perceiving the planetary principle suddenly become such that they may be revelatory to other people—if the person succeeds in conveying his vision to them, which also requires certain effort. At a high level, the sextile of Neptune grants subtle understanding of the planetary principle and its incorporation into such vibrational flows of energy that the impression of revelation or religious miracle arises. At the same time, the person may poorly grasp what exactly and why he does it in this way, yet the feeling of the height of the flow and simultaneously strong resistance of the material will serve as indirect signs of the achieved perfection. At a low level, the sextile of Neptune offers many opportunities for deception and self-deception, yet also a sense of attraction from the planet, a feeling of ecstasy in mastering its principle. However, this demands much diligence, especially in cultivating inner honesty in assessing one’s real achievements. If the planet is afflicted, avoidance of unpleasantness in the world of illusion is possible—Neptune will, of course, help with this—but harsh disappointments or blows of fate will soon follow. False pity differs from true compassion, which the person clearly senses when it is directed toward him.
