Saturn conjunction: Over time, the planet itself slows down. The challenge is to notice it. A planet’s conjunction with Saturn constricts and freezes its principle; here, the karmic demand lies in deep processing, particularly freeing the planet’s principle from superficial ego-driven programs that demand payment for even minor effort. For example, Saturn conjunct Mercury produces a person who poorly comprehends things they haven’t thought through, and fighting this is futile. If the person — which is typical of low-level processing of the aspect — tries to ignore Saturn’s intense pressure forcing them to think long and carefully, their rational thinking will literally seize up, and they will lose all reasoning entirely, experiencing the creativity of the Absolute in the form of absurd and tragic situations, or sheer laziness and irresponsibility. At the initial stage of processing the Saturn conjunction, withdrawal into oneself and contemplation of the planet’s principle within one’s life and philosophy is required, often motivated by prolonged external restrictions; further processing occurs under less rigid conditions, but here the person must voluntarily surrender and voluntarily submit to the planet’s principle when it becomes active, yielding very high results and breakthroughs into great creativity in the planet’s spheres — though initially, it’s difficult to believe this, as the Saturn conjunction reveals its negative magnitude, often a sense of inferiority — and at the same time, an exceptionally strong and deep inner drive to master the planet’s principle.
Neptune conjunction: It’s hard to believe in the immortality of the soul for someone who lacks a soul. In the areas governed by the planet along with Neptune, the person struggles to concentrate: meditation begins, but (without processing the aspect) it is guided by lower subconscious programs attempting to serve the ego. Neptune creates constant distortions in perception, false positions, temptations of conscious and unconscious deception in the relevant spheres, and freeing oneself from these influences is extremely difficult, as an unprocessed conjunction allows the lower octave of Neptune to deeply penetrate the planet’s principles. If Neptune is conjunct Venus, at a low level of aspect processing, the person will constantly find themselves in false positions, lying in social contacts and love, yet both — along with accessible forms of art — become sources of endless pleasure for them. Processing yields a true connoisseur of art, perhaps even more. Far more complex is processing the Neptune conjunction with Saturn, as lower-octave Neptune distracts Saturn’s gaze, rendering the person nearly incapable of concentration (lower meditation begins, and attention drifts) and self-deepening, which are essential for developing discipline and inner honesty. Here, Pluto processing helps (which, by the way, stood in sextile to Neptune for the entire second half of the 20th century, promising support) — the only planet capable of dispelling Neptune’s illusions and deceptions. At a high level of processing, the Neptune conjunction grants the person, in the planet’s spheres, a rare ability for true understanding, elevated meditations, and external actions through which they can express the Ineffable — though not everyone can perceive it.
