Sun Conjunction: Once you’re named a mushroom, get into the cart. A planet’s conjunction with the Sun gives its expressions a shade of imperative at a high level of aspect integration. At a low level, the imperative mostly concerns the necessity of processing the planet. The Sun highlights the lower expressions of its principle and activates them, primarily through direct pressure. At a low level of Sun integration, it acts through rigid imperatives imposed upon the planet, suppressing its creative impulse and forcing its principle to manifest within very narrowly defined boundaries that it fundamentally cannot fit into; this creates excessive internal tension and an explosion, where the creativity of the Absolute manifests both in the moment and character of the explosion (unpredictable in advance) and in the form and trajectories of the fragments. If the conjunction is unprocessed but well-aspected, these explosions will be more dangerous to others, and the planet’s creative impulse will only express itself along a path of strictly selfish consumption within the areas corresponding to its principle. For example, an unprocessed Sun-Mars conjunction produces great and futile activity, which the person themselves perceives as extremely important and useful, while simultaneously possessing the ability to completely drain another’s energy, leaving the other person literally powerless and without even a hint of gratitude. Processing the conjunction (and the Sun) results in a shift to a higher egregor, where solar initiative moves beyond the rigid order of command and instead serves as a suggestion toward a desired direction of activity, most importantly, attention. Then, the interaction between the Sun and the planet is significantly eased, and the planet receives from the Sun a kind of weak magnetization, which serves as orientation in complex (for the planet) conditions when the optimal choice is not obvious. Chiron Conjunction: It is better to serve God beneficially than to serve the Devil selflessly. A conjunction with Chiron gives the planet a special sense of humor, initially appreciated more by others than by the person themselves, since the jokes are made at their expense. This aspect creates a karmic necessity for non-standard processing of the planet’s principle, stimulated by developmental deadlocks and incomprehensible, chaotic situations in which an inner meaning is felt but cannot be understood while remaining within familiar life positions. For instance, a Chiron-Moon conjunction may produce unusual or common illnesses that for some reason resist standard treatments, potentially tormenting the person until they turn to methods considered quackery or at least highly suspicious by official medicine. Yet only a very harmonious conjunction with Chiron allows rapid problem resolution bordering on miracle; usually, the person must seriously master and materialize (at least for themselves) new, initially semi-fantastical views, techniques, or methods. This often requires inner work within the areas of subconscious programs governed by the planet. For example, processing a Chiron-Pluto conjunction implies reevaluating one’s views (often initially completely unconscious) on death, spiritual purification and repentance, the interconnection of personal and world karma (“the role of personality in history”), and so on. Working through the conjunction grants extraordinary creative abilities in the areas governed by the planet, producing techniques and methods that create miraculous effects, yet appear entirely “scientific” and “rational” to the next generation. Chiron’s main methodological principle is: “To understand means to get used to.” However, the essence of processing a planet’s conjunction with Chiron lies not so much in qualitatively new variations of the planet’s principle development, but in the expansion of consciousness generated through its assistance.
