Sun-Venus Conjunction

Sun–Venus conjunction Het Monster: Strength of feelings, optimism, love of pleasure and entertainment. Sometimes self-admiration. Beauty and refinement in modes of self-expression, artistic talents. If the 2nd and 5th houses are not afflicted—possibility of gaining wealth through speculation. Success in life through brothers or spouse. Women will be born very kind. Venus behind the Sun—constant troubles and disappointments with women, and in marriage (for men) if the 4th house is empty or afflicted. Catherine Haug: Sun–Venus conjunction Conjunction: the merging of the conscious and the emotional, and as a result—the desire to please, to be properly appreciated, the need to love and be loved. Such people are friendly, possess natural charm, which takes on its specific characteristics depending on the sign in which the conjunction is located. A. Podvodny: Sun–Venus conjunction Sun conjunction: “Call yourself a mushroom—crawl into the cart.” Planets conjunct the Sun lend their expressions an imperative quality—at a high level of aspect development. At a low level, the imperative relates more to the necessity of working through the planet. The Sun highlights the lower expressions of its principle and activates them, primarily through direct pressure. At a low level of Sun development, it acts through rigid imperatives imposed upon the planet, suppressing its creative impulse and forcing its principle to manifest within very narrowly defined boundaries into which it cannot essentially fit, creating excessive inner tension and an explosion, in which creativity Absolute manifests both in form and trajectory of fragments. If the conjunction is unprocessed but well-aspected, these explosions will be more dangerous to others, and the planet’s creative impulse will manifest only through a path of rigidly selfish consumption in areas corresponding to its principle. For example, an unprocessed conjunction of the Sun with Mars produces great and futile activity, which, however, seems extremely important and useful to the person themselves, and on the other hand, the ability to completely consume another’s energy, leaving the other person literally drained and without even a hint of gratitude. Processing the conjunction (and the Sun) brings a shift to a higher egregor, where solar initiative moves beyond the rigid command, serving instead as a suggestion of a desired direction of activity, and most importantly—attention. Then the interaction between the Sun and the planet is significantly eased, and the planet receives from the Sun a kind of weak magnetization, which serves as orientation in complex (for the planet) conditions when the optimal choice is not obvious. Venus conjunction: One can benefit society only after first separating oneself from it. Conjunction with Venus gives the planet’s principle strong social and aesthetic emphases; at a low level, in areas ruled by the planet, this person will be aesthetically capricious and socially determined—public opinion and “as people do” will be very significant for them, and freeing the planet’s principle from the influence of social clichés will be difficult, sometimes leading to unpredictable effects when attempting to apply social stereotypes in completely inappropriate situations, in which the creative signature of the Absolute will manifest (at this level). Another characteristic of Venus’s influence on a planet in conjunction with it is the emphasis on love, not necessarily erotic. Processing the aspect brings Divine light to any manifestation of the planet; at a low level, the person does not perceive manifestations of the planet unless they are accompanied by a considerable amount of love or social attention directed toward them, although (karmically) they should not so much receive as radiate love in corresponding situations. For example, a child with Venus conjunct Saturn can only be made to study systematically or simply concentrate through kindness, affection, love, gentle persuasion, etc., but never by force, and public ridicule will literally force them to cower in a corner and burst into tears. At a low level, Venus relaxes the planet, making the person a social parasite and refined egoist in corresponding areas, but upon processing, egoism gives way to service to others. For example, Venus conjunct the Moon may produce a glutton and gourmet who cares only for their stomach, but upon processing—wonderful hospitality; the same applies to their sex life.
