Uranus-Neptune Conjunction
(Transit Uranus → Natal Neptune)
Het Monster. Aspects
Occurs once every 171 years. Corresponds to a period of spiritual and scientific progress, the birth and work of creators of new political and social systems. This generation harmonizes with the forces of nature, possesses remarkable intuition, and is influenced by higher forces (in the sign and house of the conjunction or in those houses where these planets are rulers). Imagination, originality, insight, and a tendency to belong to secret organizations.
Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary
Combination: the union of the irrational principle and a passion for change creates a powerful creative potential, based on a harmonious blend of sensitivity and individuality. Curious, creative, and innovative thinking.
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Uranus conjunction: The magnitude of what it accomplishes is such that it can only be described as mania. This is not an easy aspect, as in the areas governed by the planet in conjunction with Uranus, a person—whether they want to or not—sometimes becomes a guinea pig of the Absolute, whose ways are inscrutable, especially at first. Overall, this is a very strong aspect, and if a person can adapt to the rhythm of fate in the areas governed by the planet and learns to read—or at least pay attention to—the karmic signs sent to them, they will not only protect themselves (and others) from many troubles but will also demonstrate extraordinarily unconventional worldviews. Unfortunately, they are likely to greatly overestimate their value: these diamonds require cutting, after which only a much smaller diamond remains. If the conjunction is heavily afflicted, the burden on the planet may prove unbearable for the person, and in the corresponding areas, it will be difficult to remain within socially acceptable boundaries. Many of their ideas and actions will be completely incomprehensible to others, and the shadow of a psychiatric hospital may loom over the person. One must learn to ground their fantasies and smooth out acute states, which can be aided by harmonious aspects to the planet or its dispositor. As always, working with Saturn and developing respect for external reality (working on the 4th house) as well as a sense of humor (working on Chiron) are helpful. With harmonious aspects to the planet, this conjunction is most dangerous for those around them, especially those who activate the planet; however, it is precisely with them and for them that its unexpected inventiveness, bursts of ideas, and energy manifest.
Neptune conjunction: It is difficult for a person without a soul to believe in the immortality of the soul. In the areas governed by the planet together with Neptune, it is difficult for a person to concentrate: they begin a meditation that (without working on the aspect) is guided by lower subconscious programs, attempting to subordinate all manifestations of the planet’s principle to the service of the ego. Neptune creates constant distortions of perception, false situations, and temptations toward conscious and unconscious deception in the corresponding spheres, and it is very difficult to free oneself from these influences, as an unworked conjunction allows the lower octave of Neptune to deeply penetrate the principles of the planet. If Neptune is in conjunction with Venus, at a low level of aspect processing, the person will constantly find themselves in false situations and even simply lie in social contacts and love. However, both of these, as well as accessible forms of art, will be sources of endless pleasure for them, and working on the aspect can produce a true connoisseur of art. Much more challenging is the processing of the Neptune-Saturn conjunction, as the lower octave of Neptune distracts Saturn’s gaze, and the person becomes practically incapable of concentration (lower meditation begins quickly, and attention drifts) and self-deepening, which are necessary for developing discipline and inner honesty. Here, working with Pluto (which, by the way, stood in a sextile to Neptune for the second half of the 20th century, promising support) is helpful—the only planet capable of dispelling Neptune’s illusions and deceptions. At a high level of processing, the Neptune conjunction grants the person in the areas governed by the planet a rare ability for true understanding, elevated meditations, and external actions in which they can express the Ineffable, though not everyone will be able to perceive it.
Frances Sakoian. Aspects
Life of new political and social systems, contributing to human development. This generation harmonizes with the forces of nature, possesses great intuition, and is influenced by superphysical forces (in the sign and house of the conjunction or where they are rulers). Imagination, originality, insight, and a tendency to belong to secret religious organizations. This is supported by the combination of qualities of the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th houses. Note: Saturn, co-ruler of Uranus, is found in the horoscopes of people in large corporations who have made exceptional discoveries. Many scientists were born in the sign of Capricorn—a combination of discipline and originality. Neptune, with its mystical experience, stands at the origins of great religions, along with the enlightenment of teachers or prophets. Later, codification in faith and ethical principles occurs, such as Jupiter in Sagittarius, with the connection to religion being Neptune’s co-rulership. The affairs of such people are often secret, as Neptune is the ruler of the 12th house, and their work takes place within a group union (Uranus is the ruler of the 11th house). Their activities are inspired by occult-mystical philosophy. The highest form of expression of this combination is the synthesis of divine wisdom and love.
