Venus-Neptune Conjunction

Venus-Neptune Conjunction

(Transit. Venus → Natal Neptune)

Different sources for a child’s horoscope

Your child is very active, romantic, dreamy, and especially sensitive. People say about such a child that he floats in the clouds. He can be overly trusting and fails to understand other people. He is easily hurt by the coldness of close ones. He possesses an extraordinary sensitivity to beauty, a strong attraction to music, dance, and other “refined” forms of art. There may be a dramatic talent or an ability to project a beautiful image (for example, as a model).

Het Monster. Aspects

With favorable aspects – spiritualized love. With an overall good horoscope – therapeutic talent. Sensitivity to beauty, depth of emotional experience. Rich imagination, productive subconscious. With unfavorable aspects – impracticality, castles in the air, unreliability.

Catherine Haït. Astrological Dictionary

Conjunction: complete confusion in the emotional sphere, fully absorbing the soul and feelings. We are facing a romantic idealist who knows no obstacles or boundaries in mutual love. Sometimes his desire to mold the beloved into his ideal leads him to a peculiar “Pygmalion complex”: once placed on the pedestal of harmony, the object of love is no longer allowed to step down from it. Often love is directed more toward an idea, something unreal, rather than toward an earthly being, who in this case acts more as a symbol.

Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects

Venus conjunction: One can benefit society only after first separating oneself from it. A conjunction with Venus gives the planet’s principle strong social and aesthetic emphases; at a low level, in the areas ruled by the planet, this person will be aesthetically capricious and socially conditioned; public opinion and the principle of “what people do” will be very significant for him, and freeing the planet’s principle from the influence of social clichés will be difficult, sometimes leading to ridiculous dogmatism and absurd, unpredictable effects when attempting to apply social stereotypes in completely inappropriate situations, which is where the influence manifests (at this level). Another characteristic of Venus’s influence on the planet in conjunction with it is an emphasis on love, not necessarily erotic. Working through the aspect brings divine light to any manifestation of the planet; at a low level, the person does not perceive the planet’s manifestations unless a considerable amount of love directed toward him or social attention is added, although (karmically) he should not so much receive as radiate love in corresponding situations. For example, a child with Venus in conjunction with Saturn can only be made to study systematically or simply concentrate through kindness, affection, love, gentle persuasion, etc., but never by force, and public ridicule will literally make him cower in a corner and burst into tears. At a low level, Venus weakens the planet, making the person a social parasite and refined egoist in the corresponding areas, but as the aspect is worked through, egoism gives way to service to others; for instance, a Venus-Moon conjunction may produce a glutton and gourmet concerned exclusively with his stomach, but after integration, a wonderful chef who presents his dishes like an art exhibition; the same applies to his sex life. Neptune conjunction: It is difficult for a person who has no soul to believe in the soul’s immortality. In areas ruled by the planet together with Neptune, the person finds it hard to concentrate: meditation begins, which (without working through the aspect) is guided by lower programs of the subconscious, attempting to place all manifestations of the planet’s principle in service to the ego. Neptune creates constant distortion of perception, false situations, temptations of conscious and unconscious deception in the corresponding spheres, and freeing oneself from these influences is very difficult, since an unworked conjunction produces a deep and powerful penetration of Neptune’s lower octave into the planet’s principles. If Neptune is in conjunction with Venus, at a low level of aspect development the person will constantly fall into false positions and simply lie in social contacts and love, but both of these, as well as accessible forms of art, will be for him sources of endless pleasure, and working through the aspect produces a true connoisseur of art, and possibly much more. Far more difficult is the integration of Neptune’s conjunction with Saturn, since Neptune’s lower octave diverts Saturn’s gaze, making the person practically incapable of the concentration (his attention quickly drifts into lower meditation) and self-absorption necessary for developing discipline and inner honesty. Here, working through Pluto helps—the only planet capable of dispelling Neptune’s illusions and deception (Pluto, by the way, was in sextile to Neptune throughout the second half of the 20th century, promising support). At a high level of development, a conjunction with Neptune gives the person, in the areas ruled by the planet, a rare ability for true understanding, high meditations, and external actions through which one can express the Ineffable—though not everyone is able to perceive this.

Francesca Sakoyan. Aspects

Resembles the influence of Pisces, where Neptune is ruler and Venus is in exaltation. With favorable aspects – spiritualized love. Highly evolved types possess therapeutic talents and spiritual understanding of transcendent nature. Sensitivity, receptivity to beauty, radiate joy and light by their mere presence. Vulnerable, deeply emotional. Often exert a hypnotic effect, either positive or negative, depending on aspects. Rich imagination, productive subconscious. Love subtle music, mystical art depicting visions. Enjoy all things gentle and delicate, the art of photography. When afflicted – impracticality, daydreaming, which becomes a burden to those around. Lower-developed types are unreliable in love.

S.V. Shestopalov. Planetary Aspects

Grants great imagination and inspiration; deep love for beauty in all forms; love of poetry, art, music, especially spiritual. Profound and elevated states of consciousness, delight in beauty, particularly in nature; refined taste. The downside – detachment from reality, idealism, romanticism, dreaminess. Venus in conjunction and in tense aspects with Neptune: unhealthy fantasy, idle daydreaming, empty reverie, utopianism, vagueness, unclear sensations and emotions, self-deception, illusions, disappointments, weak will, indulgence in one’s feelings, desire to go with the flow, unstable ideals. The positive side – a sense of dissatisfaction drives one toward spiritual perfection and aspiration toward beauty.
