Jupiter conjunction: Standing on the shoulders of giants, make sure they don’t shrink from it. At a low level, conjunction with Jupiter gives the Planet an acute sense of its own significance. The person sincerely believes that their expressions in the corresponding areas are extraordinarily important and meaningful; here they possess immense potential, and everyone, recognizing this, should assist and selflessly serve them. Indeed, potentially this aspect provides great expansion of the Planet’s principle and sometimes undeserved happiness (especially with a strong Jupiter), such as powerful patronage. The danger lies in the tendency to perceive these opportunities as given, as if things could not be otherwise, and to indulge in purely selfish, hedonistic consumption. The key to working with this aspect is recognizing one’s responsibility for any Jovian gifts and opportunities as collective values, and ensuring their most effective and creative distribution. The Jupiter conjunction signifies an intense invitation from the egregore, and the person (karmically) must not only receive the gifts but also enter the egregore and perform the necessary work within it (or for it), or else pass the channel to the appropriate person. For example, a conjunction of Jupiter with Mars means the person will have abundant energy coming from diverse sources, but also a strong temptation to expend it chaotically, thoughtlessly, and inefficiently, even while subconsciously believing for a long time that any of their active deeds are flawless and bring pure grace. At a high level of integration, such a person opens elevated energetic and spiritual channels for others (in general, the Jupiter conjunction is the aspect of the preacher). Chiron conjunction: It is better to serve God usefully than to serve the devil selflessly. A conjunction with Chiron gives the Planet a special sense of humor, initially appreciated more by others than by the person themselves, since the jokes are often at their expense. This aspect creates a karmic necessity to work through the Planet’s principle in a non-standard way, triggered by developmental dead-ends and incomprehensible, chaotic situations where an inner meaning is felt but cannot be grasped from conventional life positions. For instance, a Chiron–Moon conjunction may bring unusual or common but inexplicably treatment-resistant illnesses that can literally torment the person until they turn to methods considered quackery or at least highly suspicious by official medicine. Yet only a very harmonious conjunction with Chiron brings rapid problem resolution bordering on miracle; usually, the person must seriously master and materialize (at least for themselves) new, initially semi-fantastical views, techniques, or methods. This often requires inner work within the subconscious programs governed by the Planet. For example, working through a Chiron–Pluto conjunction involves reevaluating one’s views (often initially completely unconscious) on fate, spiritual purification and repentance, and the interconnection of personal and global karma (“the role of personality in history”), and so on. Integrating the conjunction grants extraordinary creative abilities in the areas ruled by the Planet, along with techniques and methods that produce miraculous effects, yet appear entirely “scientific” and “rational” to the next generation. Chiron’s fundamental methodological principle is: “To understand means to become accustomed.” However, the essence of working through the Planet’s conjunction with Chiron lies not so much in qualitatively new developments of the Planet’s principle, but in the expansion of consciousness generated through it.
