Jupiter-Saturn conjunction

Jupiter–Saturn conjunction Het Monster: A serious attitude toward life and one’s duties, usually burdensome (unless other factors in the horoscope alleviate this weight). Conservatism, practicality. Often one’s personal fate depends on the nation’s economic difficulties. If Jupiter precedes Saturn, undertakings begun with optimism soon encounter obstacles. Unfulfilled ambition, especially if the planets meet in the 10th house. In the 11th house—sincerity in friendship.

Catherine Aubin: Jupiter–Saturn conjunction Conjunction: When meeting in one chart, they smooth each other, losing their sharpness—the tendency toward expansion (Jupiter) and restraint (Saturn). Thus, the main meanings of this aspect are balance and sound judgment, control and self-assertion. If this aspect dominates the chart, it may promote advancement to power.

A. Podvodny: Jupiter–Saturn conjunction Jupiter’s conjunction: Standing on the shoulders of giants, make sure they don’t stoop under your weight. At a low level, conjunction with Jupiter gives the planet an acute sense of self-importance. The person sincerely believes that all their expressions in the relevant areas are extraordinarily important and significant, that they have enormous potential, and that everyone, understanding this, should help them and serve selflessly. Indeed, potentially this aspect grants great expansion of the planet’s principle and sometimes undeserved happiness (especially with a strong Jupiter), for example, powerful patronage. The danger lies in the tendency to perceive these opportunities as given, as if it could not be otherwise, and the processing in purely egoistic terms of joyful consumption consists in recognizing one’s responsibility for any Jovian gifts and opportunities as group values, and in their most effective and creative distribution. Jupiter’s conjunction means an intense invitation from the egregore, and the person (karmically) must not only consume the gifts but also enter the egregore and perform the necessary work within (or for) it, or else hand the channel over to the appropriate person. For example, Jupiter’s conjunction with Mars means the person will have abundant energy coming from diverse sources, but also a strong temptation to expend it chaotically, thoughtlessly, and inefficiently, although for a long time they may subconsciously believe that any of their active actions are flawless and bring pure grace. At a high level of processing, this person opens high energetic and spiritual channels for others (in general, Jupiter’s conjunction is the aspect of the preacher).

Saturn’s conjunction: Over time, it slows down by itself. The problem is to notice this. A planet’s conjunction with Saturn constricts and freezes its principle; here, the karmic requirement lies in deep processing, particularly in liberating the planet’s principle from superficial egoistic programs that demand concrete payment for any minor effort. For example, Saturn’s conjunction with Mercury produces a person who poorly understands things not thoroughly thought through by them, and struggling against this is futile. If the person attempts, which is typical at a low level of processing this aspect, to ignore the intense pressure of Saturn forcing them to think long and carefully, their rational thinking will literally jam, and they will lose all reasoning altogether, experiencing on themselves the creativity of the Absolute in the form of various absurd and tragic situations—actually laziness and irresponsibility. At the beginning, processing Saturn’s conjunction requires turning inward and contemplating the planet’s principle within the context of one’s life and life philosophy, which is most often motivated by prolonged external limitations. Further processing proceeds under less harsh conditions than the initial phase, but here the person must voluntarily accept humility and willingly submit to the planet’s principle. Breakthrough into great creativity in the areas ruled by the planet, although initially it is hard to believe in this, since Saturn’s conjunction gives, on the contrary, the impression not simply of lacking talent, but of a negative quantity of it—often an inferiority complex—yet simultaneously an extraordinarily strong and deep inner drive toward mastery.
