Ketu in Capricorn

Ketu in Capricorn

Avesalom Podvodny. Planets in the Zodiac Signs

Here, the soul enters life with great inner pride. The individual finds it difficult to understand why others do not show him strong respect, to which he was accustomed in past incarnations. As a result, the motive behind all his actions is prestige and the pursuit of titles. Some people with this nodal position may even marry to achieve the social status subconsciously associated with Capricorn. In past lives, this soul worked tirelessly for recognition. This individual may become an original actor, striving to draw attention while maintaining a sense of dignity. If the person knows others are observing him, he may seek excessive punishment. Now, he would like the world to know how burdened he has been, so that others may perceive him as a martyr. He continues to make his work harder than it actually is and struggles to cope with the responsibilities and obligations of his current life. Since he always lives in the past, he tends to bring the awareness of past burdens into the present. This greatly complicates his life. The only thing he has not yet learned to tolerate is his own failures. He becomes physically or emotionally unwell to avoid situations where he might feel inadequate. The individual is convinced of his own correctness, and he often judges the actions of others, though he keeps this to himself so that others do not discover that he has been subtly fitting them into his secretly invented caste system, which would damage his self-esteem. In previous lives, he was excessively self-confident and strongly resisted advice that would have personally affected him. Now, the individual still considers his life to be strictly a private matter. As a result, he builds a “Great Wall of China” around everything that directly concerns him. It is futile to try to break through it, as the slightest personal criticism prompts him to add more blocks to it. The materialism of past lives makes him an opportunist who appears where something can be gained. At the same time, the saying “a penny’s wisdom, a ruble’s folly” applies to him, as he is known for his stinginess amid emotional outbursts of extravagance. When he sees an advantage, he becomes cold and calculating, and nothing will stop him from achieving his goal. He will exploit the weaknesses of others to his benefit. He can find loopholes in any law. He is so determined to control everything around him that his entire current life becomes a personal crusade to prove his abilities. In past incarnations, his soul mastered the art of achievement, paying little attention to others. Now, through the North Node in Cancer, the individual must learn how to provide support as well as receive it. Many people with this nodal position feel a heavy family burden to recognize the emotional needs of others. This soul is learning to take on the feminine role in this life. A karmic transition occurs from coldness to warmth, from old age to youth. Many people with this nodal position appear younger with each passing year. The rigid positions of Capricorn are rejected by one another. The individual gains new confidence and reliability in a more honest approach to his emotions. In this life, he must learn to sincerely apologize if he is wrong and not seek advantages over others when he is right. Eventually, he will see that oppression, fears, and anxieties are nothing more than part of the martyr complex he has created, which has little to do with the circumstances of his present life. He must slowly learn to detach himself from the insatiable need to control everything around him. In this life, the individual will go through a series of experiences that will gradually reveal his Cancerian sensitivity and receptivity. Eventually, he will begin to value nature more than money, emotions more than power, and new shoots more than gathering dead wood! When these changes begin to occur, he will be brought out of the cold winter into the bright sunshine of early summer. But he must develop an entirely new emotional response pattern if he is to adapt to the new direction his soul is meant to take. The individual’s highest achievement in life is to support others. To do this, he must do great inner work to become a true horn of plenty, providing spiritual sustenance for those who hunger. The more he is able to nourish others, the happier he will feel. He must understand that God favors those who wait and that the greatest blessing is reserved for those who seek nothing for themselves but wish to be constant servants to Him. In past lives, this soul learned to receive abundantly; now, it is here to give. The house containing the South Node shows the area of life where the cup of abundance overflows. The house containing the North Node symbolizes the empty cups of others waiting to be filled.
