Here, the object is crystallization. The individual must overcome past-life superstitions that now complicate their growth and clearly see the truth of all things. Previous tendencies, such as dependence on others, as well as boundless self-pity due to a lack of achievements, are obstacles to be overcome in this life. The individual must not allow themselves to become confused, as this clouds their inner vision. They are aware of the need not to hurt others, expending much effort in developing the ability to speak about what they truly feel. Essentially, their weak point is causing pain to themselves (even if they will have many opportunities in this life to understand this and be cautious). They must learn that nothing will happen in their life until goals and objectives are clearly defined. In past incarnations, they were often deceived because they were too compassionate. Now, they still wince at suffering, strongly feeling the pain of others, and allow external burdens to drain their strength until they feel they have given enough. Once they realize that soft-heartedness is their weak point, the individual turns to their North Node in Virgo, where they develop the ability to distinguish what truly deserves their compassion and what is merely fantasy! The person spends much time carefully examining and analyzing their value system, discarding the unimportant, developing a filtering system that allows for critical judgments that cannot be shaken by emotions. This incarnation is meant to teach them how to emerge from the dense fog into which they have fallen. Their slipping into illusion was so subtle that they never truly realized it had happened. The individual must strive at all costs to avoid escapism and daydreaming, as these ultimately weaken them to the point where they may forget how to function in the physical, earthly plane. Their intuition is exceptionally strong, but with it comes disillusionment and depression in Pisces, stemming from the individual’s sensitivity to the disappointments and troubles of others. Learning the karmic lessons of independence, the individual eventually finds that all those they wished to lean on begin to lean on them instead. They must always extricate themselves from events, circumstances, and relationships whose burden clouds their vision. Their own pity for others can lead them into positions where they subtly “spread themselves too thin.” Hating to tell people what they do not want to hear, they develop the art of subtle finesse. One of the greatest lessons in this life is to develop the ability to say “no” and mean it, because the most tender pleas with tearful eyes have always caused the individual to go back on their word. They know their weakness, and it is through this knowledge that they can develop their greatest strength. By refusing to succumb to emotions, the individual gradually emerges from confusion. Many people with this nodal position in past lives have experienced persecution and, as a result, deeply understand the suffering and pain of others. However, they may be deceived by others into believing that their inner softness is a sign of weakness and that they somehow invite into their lives the same persecution they once fled. For years, they carry heavy wounds and grievances within them, though this occasionally eats away at their nervous system. Here, the North Node in Virgo can act as a savior, reminding them of the discipline and healthy boundaries that will bring the greatest benefit. This nodal position is particularly beneficial in the fields of medicine and healing, where the past residue of strong compassion for humanity, combined with a fresh desire for perfection, can be easily expressed. Their idealism is high, but the soul’s memory of the lack of self-confidence caused by such intense past persecution makes it difficult to believe they can achieve their ideals. They must constantly struggle with the tendency to give up. Ultimately, it is the great wisdom gained from the bitter lessons of the South Node in Pisces that saves them. No matter how difficult conditions become, they remain true to their rainbow dream, where peace and love govern the world. The individual is highly critical of others if they do not live up to the ideals they know they are capable of achieving. This nodal position represents clouds and sunlight, illusion and reality. Always seeking the best, the individual eventually learns why others suffer so much, and while they try their hardest—risking self-inflicted pain—to help everyone in need, their karma today is the pursuit of purification and perfection within themselves. In doing so, they are lenient toward the weaknesses of others. This brings the individual their greatest lesson—self-discipline! They must clearly learn when to let the water flow, when to dam it, and when to redirect its course. Pisces’ inattention to detail clouds the clarity of understanding they seek. By developing a vision of clear perspective, they can rid themselves of the recklessness they brought into this life. If they are to be happy, they must dedicate their life to service rather than secretly wishing for others to drown out their past sorrows. Their greatest lesson is never to doubt the purity of their intentions. This individual forces things to work in the earthly plane. Life is about striving for efficiency and order amid the Piscean sea of chaos. The great work of the past life was done in self-sacrifice. Now, only vague memories remain. In this life, the individual must learn to manifest the perfect ideas they have attained, discarding everything except their understanding of the Divine Essence. The house position of the South Node indicates the area of life in which the past incarnation achieved cosmic understanding. The house position of the North Node shows the area of life where crystallization can now bring this understanding into material reality.
