Chiron in Virgo
Pavlo Globa. Planets in the Zodiac Signs
This generation spans the years 1943–1945. Here, Chiron is in the domicile of Mercury and Proserpina, in the sign of Mercury’s exaltation, in the earth element—a foreign airy nature for the planet. You may possess objective information and assess every detail quite objectively. Yet, most often, this is merely the “monkey” instinct of imitation and activity (according to the Chinese calendar, the symbol of Virgo corresponds to the Monkey). You usually grasp at trifles, but lack a global approach. A contradiction arises here between the groundedness of the sign and the loftiness of the planet. The mundane plane disrupts your orientation toward the highest function of the guide. However, higher Chironians manage to fulfill their function on Earth thanks to the earthly nature of the sign. Here, Chiron can rely on the evolutionary function of exalted Mercury, of which it is the higher aspect. In the best case, you may master magic used for good, contacts in the professional sphere, and in health-related fields. You may be characterized by an elevated sense of duty, which you fulfill with meticulous punctuality. You never indulge in games, though you are a good player and a sober critic. You may excel as a scientific figure, a business scholar, an innovator in technical fields, or an interpreter. In the worst case, you may become a cold broker, a gloomy seducer, or a subtle behind-the-scenes intriguer. You may often tire of life because, while seeing the details, you fail to grasp its greater meaning. The more diligently you fulfill your duty, the more protest grows within you. If you are well-situated materially, you may refuse to work (the so-called antisocial type of behavior).
Avesalom Podvodnyy. Planets in the Zodiac Signs
Virgo, striving for self-improvement. Chiron gives Virgo an unconscious desire to perceive the inner, hidden yet real content of the forms surrounding it and its work with them. However, this unconscious urge struggles to penetrate its rigid essential consciousness and takes distorted form there: the Chironian Virgo believes it is “simply” striving to do everything as best as possible, considering the most advanced and sometimes even nearly fantastical methods and emerging possibilities (both in the external world and in the realm of inner development, etc.). In the unprocessed version, this leads to disappointment—hopes arise and collapse, Virgo becomes restless and agitated, and often fully disillusioned with all its ideas, since in reality they promise far less than initially imagined and require not only effort but also a certain expansion of consciousness, which is not easy for Virgo. Yet, when this aspect is worked through, Virgo gains access to its subconscious and becomes capable of altering subconscious programs in the desired direction, particularly skills in working with forms—including subtle ones: astral entities, thought-forms, etc., with consideration of bioenergetics, herbal healing, and subtle diagnostics. Success in critiquing (and consciousness of) original scientific concepts, especially those modeling living objects (biology, economics).
