Here the soul studies lessons of self-awareness at the initial levels. Experiences from previous incarnations did not allow the personality to form as a distinct individuality. Now the individual is paying the price for indecisiveness in past lives, while learning how to rise from their sorrow by developing “unanimity.” Extremely sensitive to flattery, the individual strives to please others, but since they have not yet realized themselves, it is difficult for them to take action. Always attempting to balance the people around them, they play the role of an eternal arbiter between two or more opposing ideas, individuals, or circumstances. Standing in the middle, they take on the role of a buffer, desperately trying to bring both sides into harmony simultaneously. Moment by moment, and day by day, this individual oscillates from one side to the other, hoping they will never have to take a definite position! In past lives, the individual measured their happiness by the successes or failures of those close to them. Now they continue to evaluate their life through others. Eventually, they learn not to fear taking a definite standpoint and advocating for what their higher Self feels is Truth. They achieve this by learning to be themselves, rather than an extension of someone else. Nevertheless, they must rely on their past incarnations, which taught them how to love, not how to hate. Thus, in their search for self, they must not forget that their persistence affects the people close to them. The individual will need to withdraw in solitude for short periods in order to gather their strength. Their greatest lessons involve making the mind govern the heart, as they still melt too easily at the slightest attention.
