Mars Square Uranus
(Transit Mars → Natal Uranus)
Various sources for the child’s horoscope
Your child exhibits impulsiveness, haste, and impatience with any coercion or restriction. They may display stubbornness, reluctance to obey discipline, and it can be difficult to persuade them of anything. They cannot tolerate monotony and may feel drawn to highly risky adventures and dangerous sports (such as car racing, parachuting, or ski jumping). Parents should not forbid these activities but rather encourage them to engage in such sports after receiving proper instruction and thorough preparation. They may also be interested in technology, experimenting with machines, electricity, or computers. It is better to teach this child according to an individual plan tailored to their learning abilities, as they are unlikely to be interested in following the standard school curriculum with others. Interest in sexual matters may also emerge in early childhood. Parents should help the child perceive these topics correctly and teach them to consider the consequences of their actions.
Het Monster. Aspects
Activity, tactlessness. Disagreements with friends. Risk of accidents, misfortunes, and even death. A craving for thrills—from driving to dangerous sports. Irritability, nervousness. A double aspect involving Scorpio may indicate violent attacks and unexpected violent death. Idealists, revolutionaries.
Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary
Opposition, square: recklessness, haste, and impulsiveness in actions, arrogance. Often, a distorted understanding of one’s goals leads to failures and misunderstandings. An example is an inflexible leader who abuses power; a “local-scale revolutionary.” They are inconsistent, and their actions are difficult to predict. Regarding event prediction, these aspects often indicate the danger of accidents.
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Mars square: A razor that sharpens a writer’s style should not be used to chop cabbage. The Mars square imparts to planetary expressions roughness, disharmonious force that undermines its principle in all subtle manifestations. This destruction occurs both in the inner and outer worlds, and if a person does not actively resist it, it can be quite strong. Karma-wise, the Mars square signifies a prohibition on direct, unmediated energetic expression of the planetary principle (which never manifests harmoniously or constructively) and demands the processing of its higher octave. At the same time, the person is internally very drawn to the spheres governed by the planet; they are pulled toward it by some force, and their perception of their own abilities (and often achievements) in these spheres can be very high, though failures and disappointments are inevitable. At a low level, such a person may sometimes pose a danger to others in the spheres governed by the planet, but they themselves are always the ones who face the greatest danger. In the case of the Mars square, the law of karma, which reciprocates the introduction of disharmony into the world, acts swiftly and energetically (sometimes, however, the backlash strikes only the inner world of the person, causing inner destruction that may go unnoticed by others, except for the fact that the person’s overall level declines). In inner life, this aspect offers significant opportunities for growth, awareness of one’s crude subconscious programs, including nearly animalistic instincts represented in this case very prominently and clearly, especially when the planet is activated, and their transformation into a more civilized and acceptable form—i.e., transitioning to higher vibrational energies. Working through this aspect allows a person to engage with the planet on lower energies while revealing nuances of its principle that would otherwise remain inaccessible. The person will understand the destructive power of the planet in its lower octave, which will give them insight into its manifestations in others and the ability to help them process its principle, especially in taming their lower nature in relevant spheres; however, they will never fully master its free-flowing vibrations on a low level. For example, the Mars–Venus square may produce a refined libertine or an excellent sexologist, but such a person will never become a sexual giant.
Uranus square: A mediocre talent craves moments of inspiration; a great one craves moments of rest from it. Squares involving higher planets produce an effect that lasts for a year, and resisting it is futile—moreover, it is harmful, as incorrect behavior in the spheres governed by the planet in square to a higher one can seriously disrupt one’s (and others’) life. However, a person chooses how to relate to what is happening and how to perceive it—the so-called point of view: both the point at which they look and the point from which they look, i.e., the position from which they observe. This choice largely determines how they process squares involving higher planets and, consequently, their fate within the framework of world karma. For example, the Venus–Uranus square not only creates an irresistible tendency toward eccentric and uncontrollable social behavior in the most suitable circumstances but also an inability to love a partner who does not change over time—such a person becomes unbearably bored. However, in response to this, one can change partners every month, or one can change their perspective on the same person daily, discovering something fundamentally new in them, though the latter option is much more challenging. Generally, the Uranus square grants the planet genius at the edge of normality (sometimes beyond it), but it can be very difficult to constructively implement Uranian ideas and revelations. A person must strive to understand the meaning of their eccentricity, learn to read Uranian signs in planetary expressions, and then they may begin to partially perceive the complex karmic pattern woven around them and, perhaps, reveal to the world something previously unseen, incomprehensible, and impossible—yet real. The manifestations of the Uranus square cannot be understood—they can only be adapted to and learned to work with, but despite all luck and effectiveness in their application, a person will always feel as if they are firing cannons at sparrows, while the worthy Uranian goal remains invisible. The Uranus square provides excellent opportunities to put sticks in the wheels of others, and if a person sets out to obstruct evil and involutionary programs, they can become very inventive in this. Unfortunately, this square is most often used, on the contrary, to disrupt the evolutionary flow, creating turbulence within it—i.e., karmic knots—through which the creativity of the Absolute manifests, but the person through whom this creativity is realized becomes a dark teacher. However, for the fate of a specific individual, it does not matter at what level and how this dark teaching occurs, whether in the role of a critic, informant, or executioner, so one should be attentive to the manifestations of the Uranus square, as minor accents (including one’s inner attitude toward what is happening) can have far-reaching consequences.
Frances Sakoian. Aspects
This aspect brings activity, ruthlessness, sudden tactlessness, impulsiveness, a craving for tension and upheaval in matters related to the houses and signs involved. Disagreements with friends. Risk of accidents involving electrical appliances, up to death from such incidents. A desire for strong sensations from driving, car racing, and dangerous sports. Misfortune in aviation. One must avoid anger and impulsiveness, which are accompanied by stubbornness and eccentricity. Patience and a willingness to cooperate should be cultivated. Irritability and nervousness. A double aspect involving Scorpio may indicate violent attacks and unexpected violent death. Curiosity about unusual things leads to a readiness to take risks. Affairs are inconsistent; there is no will to persevere. Idealists and revolutionaries who are ready to overturn the existing order.
