Mars quincunx: The power of evil is evident; the power of good can be judged by the indirect sign that evil has not yet completely triumphed. This aspect creates in the areas of the Planet a problem of interaction between energy on earthly and cosmic vibrations; at a low level, a person will often lack earthly forms of energy, while cosmic energies are poorly mastered, resulting in certain breakdowns. For example, the Mars-Moon quincunx may give the talent of a healer masked by abilities in ordinary linear massage, which, however, the person will perform in a somewhat unusual manner—particularly, their hands in critical situations may move almost by themselves, provided they are able to trust them. The latter, however, is not at all simple, since the subconscious (both personal and collective) usually does not trust intuition, let alone movements accompanied by unusual energetic vibrations. The Mars quincunx poses in the Planet’s spheres the issue of the level of active energy, meaning, in particular, the necessity of precisely choosing its forms and no less precise control over one’s inner energy, since the quincunx emphasizes the cosmic unacceptability of coarse emotional states and mere instinctual energy expressions. For instance, with the Venus-Mars quincunx, relatively crude but socially quite adequate manifestations of love will appear absolutely unacceptable to the person from a cosmic perspective, which the Cosmos will make known through sometimes rather peculiar methods. In any case, the person will eventually realize that in love they must be very, very cautious—love celebrated but not cautious, when processed, primarily requires viewing the beloved as a spiritual being, enabling the person to engage in very intimate, subtle, and deep relationships and interactions. Pluto quincunx: There is enough hatred available on Earth to undermine it. At a low level, this is a rather harsh aspect, as the person in the Planet’s spheres experiences the influence of both cosmic and earthly karmic cleansing programs, which are poorly synchronized, so that the combined criticism may appear utterly destructive, and the overall picture of the corresponding areas will predominantly have dark tones. It should be noted that cosmic vision and cosmic aversion are entirely real in the Planet’s spheres of sensation for this person, although they do not always interpret them correctly. For example, if the Planet is in the first house, the traits of personality governed by it will dissatisfy the person from both earthly (social) and cosmic viewpoints, and the combined effect may be extremely unpleasant, up to total cosmic hatred of any mirrors. The processing proceeds through careful differentiation between cosmic and earthly criticism and, first of all, through attaining cosmic ethics and understanding the limits of its competence in earthly matters, which requires great inner purity in the Planet’s spheres. Until this is achieved and the person tends to see evil primarily in the external world, the backlash from the cosmic egregor will come, albeit through their own earthly flaws. The processing yields cosmic vision and perfected methods of cleansing earthly circumstances, as well as the ability to find the most harmonious way of developing earthly karma in cooperation with the higher cosmic egregor.
