Moon quintile: Ide, zander, and bream are equally necessary for evolution, yet for some reason ide tastes better. This aspect provides inner liveliness and intrinsic interest in the areas ruled by the planet, evoking in the individual a genuine emotional response and an impulse toward inner development in a new direction. The Moon’s affliction imparts great vital forces within the planet’s domains, which, however, struggle to manifest outwardly, likely resulting in frustrations akin to a poplar tree whose branches are pruned each spring—and even a good portion of its trunk. If this aspect remains unworked, instinctive vitality degenerates, becoming coarser and even vulgar; an unrefined Moon is a master at profaning anything whatsoever. For instance, the Moon-Venus quintile at a high level bestows authentic, living art created instinctively by the individual, essentially an extension of their life; when people perceive this art, on one hand, they recognize themselves and the surrounding world, while on the other, they see it illuminated by significantly higher vibrations (Venus—of aesthetics), and, intuitively (Moon) connecting to this stream, they illuminate their inner and outer world, primarily. At a low level, this quintile signifies perceiving any living loving or social relationships solely from the standpoint of physiology and self-interest, for example, a position such as: “if a person doesn’t spend money on me and doesn’t want to sleep with me, the relationship is hopeless.” Pluto quintile: When a young lamb appears in a remote forest teeming with predatory wolves, it is innocent of any wrongdoing, yet it provokes pleasant excitement. This is a highly ambiguous aspect, whose interpretation depends not only on the major aspects of Pluto and the planet but also on the individual’s overall evolutionary level. Generally speaking, Pluto acts as an inspector of the quality and forms of life within the planet’s domains, and the individual will have to experience permanent partings from some of them, which it is better to reconcile with internally in due time (after experiencing a certain mourning). On the other hand, Pluto primarily destroys parasitic life forms, and ultimately, the individual feels better after its influence, although inner worries and cockroaches, abundant among subconscious programs, sometimes appear in the individual’s inner world quite appealing—at least if one does not look at them closely—and parting with them (especially when the planet is afflicted) feels like having all one’s life killed, only much later realizing that this was not actually the case. An afflicted Pluto makes this process harsher and more abrupt, a harmonious one gentler, but in any case, the experiences (at low and middle levels) will not be the most pleasant. This aspect provides sharp critical insight into life manifestations within the planet’s domains, and when the quintile is afflicted, at a low level the individual may become a dark life teacher, destroying not only its parasites but in effect all other expressions as well (although they will likely think otherwise)—the aspect of Sodom and Gomorrah and AIDS.
