Sun quintile: As the Lord awakens life within a person, He cares not only for him. Initiatives arising in the person from the spheres of the Planet will attract through their freshness and novelty, proving especially valuable in situations of stagnation and inertia (it is important, however, to understand that these initiatives may not necessarily arise in the Planet’s spheres, since the quintile is a minor aspect). If the Sun is afflicted, these initiatives will clash too sharply with established stereotypes, and the person, encountering prevailing resistance from the environment, may sincerely suffer, feeling how his life and sincerity are extracted and trampled underfoot—yet most often with substantial justification: they are perceived as inadequate or even directly hostile by the environment. A harmonious Sun, on the contrary, brings exceptionally attractive expressions in the Planet’s sphere, and life itself seems to smile upon the individual; his initiatives become interesting to others, and he is capable, if he wishes, of revitalizing other people and circumstances within the Planet’s domains—though this will meet with great difficulties if the Planet is afflicted. If both the Sun and the Planet are well-placed, and harmonious aspects are not fully worked through, they may ultimately dry up the vitality of the quintile through laziness and boredom; the frustration of the quintile will then set vitality as a condition of survival, giving the person the strongest impulse for its activation and development. Pluto quintile: When a young lamb appears in a dense forest teeming with hungry wolves, it is innocent, yet it causes pleasant excitement. This is a highly ambiguous aspect, whose interpretation depends not only on the major aspects of Pluto and the Planet, but also on the person’s overall evolutionary level. Generally speaking, Pluto acts as an inspector of the quality and forms of life within the Planet’s spheres, and the person will have to experience permanent partings with some of them, which is better to accept inwardly in due time (after experiencing a certain mourning). On the other hand, Pluto primarily destroys parasitic forms of life, and ultimately the person feels better after its influence, although inner worries and cockroaches—abundant within subconscious programs—sometimes appear in the person’s inner world quite attractively, at least if one does not look at them closely, and separating from them (especially when the Planet is afflicted) may feel as if all his life is being killed, only for him to understand much later that it was not so. An afflicted Pluto makes this process harsher and more abrupt; a harmonious one, gentler—but in any case, the experiences (at lower and middle levels) will not be the most pleasant. This aspect grants sharp critical insight into life manifestations within the Planet’s spheres, and when the quintile is afflicted, at a low level the person may become a black life teacher, destroying not only its parasites but in effect all other expressions as well (though he will likely think otherwise)—the aspect of Sodom and Gomorrah and AIDS.
