Venus quintile: When there is no love in life, there is no life at all. This aspect brings liveliness to the planet’s spheres in social interactions and aesthetic preferences, as well as spontaneity in love. In these areas, the individual will be suffocated by the routine and backwardness typical of society as a whole. Thus, even a minor affliction of Venus creates difficulties in social contacts: on one hand, liveliness and spontaneity in others will attract the person, while on the other, their own expressions may seem less vibrant and more awkward. A strong affliction of Venus may lead to psychological blocks and complete rejection of any spontaneous behavior. At a low level, the Venus quintile produces a socially stereotyped attitude toward expressions of life in oneself and others, along with a tendency to parasitize on such expressions in social situations of the outer world—especially if the individual has low energy levels. Examples include many educators who feed (often with sadistic elements) on the emotions and direct energetic expressions of children and teenagers. Similarly, lower-octave art critics play an analogous role, representing parasitic existence. Harmonious aspects to the quintile generate appreciation from people for natural liveliness and creative initiative in the planet’s spheres—yet only when carefully cultivated. Chiron quintile: Life, unlike the person studying it, never reaches a dead end. This is a highly promising aspect, provided one undertakes its development, as it grants in the planet’s spheres the perception and materialization of life in forms where previously it was nearly imperceptible. For example, the Chiron-Moon quintile bestows the ability to perceive the human biofield and organs; at a high level, it may enable healing through “conversations” with various body parts and internal organs as living beings possessing distinct character and rudimentary consciousness (according to yogic teachings, the liver is stubborn and responds best to gentle persuasion, and so on). The Chiron quintile may produce anecdotal manifestations of life in objects and the perfect moment (a hot frying pan, alive, slips from the hands and runs under the cabinet), creating unimaginable chaos of uncontrolled life expressions. Initially, this often seems humorous, but when systematically repeated over a prolonged period, it may deeply penetrate the subconscious or fundamentally expand one’s understanding of life and responsibilities toward it. For instance, Mercury quintile to Chiron in the fourth house may mean the individual will have to rationally recognize as alive certain family members who initially seem to completely lack this quality—at least in the areas ruled by Mercury. Yet eventually, the Chiron quintile provides an exit from life’s developmental dead ends, including within the family.
