Leo – the Child

Your little Lion is the ruler of everything they survey. Pride, self-confidence, optimism, and nobility seem to come naturally. Leo thrives when the spotlight is on them. However, their “subordinates” are rewarded with an abundance of tender affection and generosity. The little Lion simply loves to do kind things for others and give small gifts. With a strong personality and a tendency toward theatrics, if they cannot be “center stage,” this born actor may stage a performance in a rather irritating manner. You should be aware of this when you notice the child demanding your attention too insistently in an inappropriate place or time.

Do not be dishonest with this child. Honesty and fairness are very important to Leo. This child has a strong will and the ability to persistently pursue a chosen goal, working hard until it is achieved. But above all, they need the opportunity to demonstrate their achievement. They will try to earn recognition, encouragement, and respect from others, which is also important to them. Give your little Lion the earliest opportunity to interact with other children and adults. Encourage creativity and their innate flair for drama—find interesting costumes or accessories in your old wardrobe, and you will discover that dressing up and playing different roles will become your child’s favorite pastime.

Always remember that praise and encouragement toward achievement will be far more effective in guiding this child than criticism.

This sign influences the heart and spine. Indeed, the Leo heart is capable of all-consuming love. Just as energy must be channeled in the right direction, so too must love find an object of application: it is very useful for Leos to learn how to properly distribute love between themselves and those around them. They are distinguished by high self-esteem. Unfortunately, sometimes it “goes off the charts,” and then we can speak of selfishness and arrogance. Leos need to understand that by loving others, they give others the chance to love them in return. They are born leaders who enjoy being in charge, but sometimes a touch of humility would not hurt.

The spine is what gives Leo their proud posture. They are always ready to accept any challenge and never bow their head under any circumstances. When Leo enters a room, they involuntarily draw everyone’s attention: with all their habits, they resemble the symbol of their sign—a regal lion. They walk straight, confidently, with dignity and nobility worthy of true royalty. Leo’s mannerisms can sometimes be described not so much as regal as arrogant and conceited. In this case, they should be advised to behave more simply, or normal communication with others may not work. But let the thought that they are the best remain with them. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as they learn to control their words and actions so as not to offend anyone (after all, a wise ruler must first and foremost care for others).

Leo is ruled by the Sun, so the purely “lion-like” qualities are fire and constancy. The Sun, which contains all the life force, gives Leo strength and radiance. But remember: the same fire can burn in a fireplace, giving warmth and coziness to a home, or it can rage like a wildfire, bringing danger and destruction. From an early age, a Leo child needs to be taught that not everyone has such boundless energy. For some, their fire may burn too hot, scare them, or make them want to keep their distance. Leo needs encouragement and approval more than anyone. However, they can achieve success and reach their goals only if they consciously and purposefully choose a point of application for their efforts. Hesitation leads to nothing good.

Leos feel an urgent need to play the leading role and earn universal recognition. If they are deprived of love and attention in childhood, their entire life may turn into an endless show. Leos are artistic, with refined taste. The best outlet for their talents and abilities will be on stage or in some other activity that involves performance, play, and success in front of an audience.

Leos strive to earn the respect of others and achieve heights in life. Like all fire signs, they are straightforward and honest. Leos do not like to lie and disapprove of others’ lies. They are demanding of themselves and those they love, as well as those around them. Leo children are very sensitive to others’ opinions, so they try to do everything as well as possible and always strive for perfection. They expect the same attitude from others and are often surprised and disappointed when they discover that many people are content with less. For Leo, this is unbearable—they feel a personal responsibility for any task. The Leo motto is: if you want something done well, do it yourself! Those born under this sign know how to assemble a “team” and give sensible orders; they delve into all the nuances and meticulously develop any plan.

From an early age, a Leo child needs to understand that their actions and behavior are judged differently by different people. After all, life is too short to try to grasp the ungraspable. Otherwise, they may end up undermining their own health (their heart!). When your little one learns to assess the world more objectively, they will understand that others have different requests and needs. People must be accepted as they are. Once Leo understands this, they will give warmth and love to those around them, enriching the lives of both themselves and their loved ones.

When it comes to raising a little Lion, you should always treat them with respect and never touch upon their sense of dignity. Never encroach on their independence—you will face an unassailable fortress. The best way to gain understanding with your child is to praise their diligence and hard work. If you tell the child that they did a good job, the next time they will try to do even more and even better. Even if the little one makes a mistake, they will later put in all their effort. If your little Lion is upset or unusually gloomy and aggressive, take them for a walk in nature. This will calm them down.

Without Leos, the world would be colorless, devoid of reckless courage and uncompromising conviction. Those born under this sign believe in themselves and their abilities and can inspire others. In short, Leo is a life bursting with energy! How gray, gloomy, and dreary the world would be without them!

And yet, there is one “but.” A little Lion whose horoscope contains unfavorable aspects may grow into a Cowardly Lion. They will whimper and mew like a kitten, begging for protection and help. You, as Ellie did, can help them gain a courageous heart through love and faith in themselves.

Your Leo will always look to the future with optimism. They are an active, creative mind, a devoted nature, and generous in thought and deed (sometimes this generosity can be excessive—Leo’s nobility can be easily taken advantage of). Help the child realize their strength—and they will succeed.
