Your child feels happiest and most secure when they are at the center of attention. You will always achieve more with this child through praise rather than punishment. Minimize criticism, directing it toward specific behavior rather than the child’s character, and follow it with additional words of praise. It is very important for this child to feel worthy of your encouragement. They possess the willpower and determination to achieve any goal they set for themselves.
It is important, however, to understand that this child has such a strong need for attention that, in the absence of positive approval, they may seek negative attention, as this becomes the only way to be noticed.
You need to provide this child with maximum encouragement, feedback, and love to allow them to "blossom" as fully as possible.
