Here, Neptune is located in the house of Mars and Pluto, in the exaltation of Uranus, in the fall of the Moon and the detriment of Venus, Chiron, Ketu, and Selena, in a sign of the related Water element. This is a strong position for Neptune. In addition to spiritual renewal, your generation experiences emotional and sexual tension (creation and destruction are fueled by exalted Uranus, while Mars and Pluto provide the power of realization). This is both the sexual revolution and a shift in quality after stagnation—regeneration. In the best case, your sexual energy sublimates into creativity. Generally, this is not a favorable position for Neptune. In its lower octave, Neptune clouds the mind of Scorpio, who already struggles to understand itself and precisely channel its transformative power. Scorpio becomes elusive, deceptive, and treacherous, almost like Cancer, and its influences become blurred: Scorpio struggles to discern what it should do and what it is actually doing. This can significantly lower spiritual levels, not to mention tendencies toward mediumship on lower planes, drugs, promiscuity, and even teaching in these areas. (In the 20th century, this was somewhat mitigated by Pluto’s sextile.) On the other hand, the cosmic love of Neptune’s higher octave is difficult for Scorpio to grasp, as Scorpio is focused on transformation or burning away evil. Neptune gently pulls Scorpio toward overcoming the polarity of good and evil, but this highest octave is accessible to very few—though it represents the level of the dove, yet with the eagle’s qualities. Here, the most subtle transformation occurs on an almost invisible and unconscious human level, directly by the egregore, and one must be extremely cautious about paying attention to the object of transformation, using minimal energy. This is Neptune’s position of the Virgin Mary.
