Moon-Square Chiron
(Transit. Moon → Natal Chiron)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Moon’s semisquare: Do you always remember, when talking to a person, that you are facing a microcosm? This is one of the most difficult aspects; most often it indicates an inner brokenness which the person tries in every way to hide from themselves, since their core inner feeling tells them that everything is exactly as it should be with them, while other people and external circumstances are somehow not quite right—but in any case, that’s their personal problem. In reality, everything is the opposite, but the Moon hardly admits its flaws. In the areas of the Planet, the person will have rigid and limited perception programs that ruthlessly reject and ignore everything that doesn’t fit into them, yet the person won’t notice this, believing they see and feel perfectly everything that is necessary, and may even feel superior to others whose perception is truly broader. The discomfort lies in the fact that beyond their clear perception, at a low level of aspect integration, the person won’t notice anything, including subtle nuances and half-tones, and will instinctively strive to prove to the world that these subtleties don’t actually exist. Often this aspect indicates formal childhood relationships with the mother, who performed her maternal functions and duties according to a fixed checklist, mentally ticking off items as they were completed. Here, (rather difficult) integration leads to the ability to create a warm, cozy home for others, anticipating their every need, but this requires first overcoming the natural selfishness and emotional hardness in the Planet’s spheres. Chiron’s semisquare: When diving into the unknown, wear scuba gear. This aspect gives, in the Planet’s spheres, a rough sense of humor and confidence in the non-standard and original nature of one’s approaches, as well as the ability to find a way out of any dead end. In reality, unfortunately, this is not always the case, and a clever, humorous invention often turns out to be shallow and ineffective, but at a low level the person ignores this or considers it an accident. Chiron always remains true to himself: here he offers structures and methods that must be deciphered by looking from an unconventional and barely imaginable perspective, which in this case means (among other things) from the viewpoint of another person or an egregore, and until the person does this, in the Planet’s spheres (especially if Chiron is afflicted) they will constantly encounter dead ends, perspectives of people close to them, trusted and effective methods that turn out to be entirely different in reality, but one must be able to see this. Harmonious Chiron and Planet will greatly soften the negative effects of the semisquare, and the methods the person uses in the Planet’s sphere will seem witty and constructive, but still, without integration and attention fundamentally directed toward other people, they will possess significant hidden flaws that will inevitably surface at critical moments.
