Moon – Neptune Semisquare
(Transit Moon → Natal Neptune)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Moon semisquare: Do you always remember, when speaking with a person, that before you is a microcosm? This is the most difficult aspect; most often it indicates an inner brokenness which the person tries in every way to conceal from themselves, since their core inner feeling tells them that everything is exactly as it should be with them, while other people and external circumstances are somehow not quite right—but in any case, that’s their personal issue. In reality, everything is the opposite, but the Moon hardly admits its flaws. In the areas of the Planet, the person will have rigid and limited perception programs that ruthlessly filter out and ignore everything that does not fit within them, yet the person will not notice this, believing they see and feel perfectly everything that is necessary, and may even feel superior to others whose perception is truly functioning. The discomfort lies in the fact that beyond their clear perception, at a low level of aspect processing, the person will notice nothing—not even subtle nuances or half-tones—and will instinctively strive to prove to the world that these subtleties do not actually exist. Often this aspect indicates formal childhood relationships with the mother, who carried out her maternal functions and duties according to a fixed checklist, mentally ticking off items as they were completed. Here, (rather difficult) processing leads to the ability to create a warm, cozy home for others, anticipating their every need, but this requires first overcoming the natural egoism and emotional hardness in the Planet’s spheres. Neptune semisquare: The sleeping princess needs no proof of witches’ existence. This is a dangerous aspect, because at a low level the person, in the Planet’s spheres, is constantly under the close attention of rigid egregores and lower astral entities; if Neptune is afflicted, enchantments, bindings, and other manipulations are possible, as well as artificial restrictions on the mobility of the astral body, which in ordinary language means emotional stiffness, limited range of emotional and essential understanding, and a rigid fixation on those phenomena and moments accessible to the person. If these relate to socially accepted and adapted areas (a harmonious Planet), people will describe such an individual as “a bit strange,” “eccentric,” etc.; but if the person focuses on socially unaccepted phenomena—typical when the Planet is afflicted—they may progress quite far in their meditations and perceive things inaccessible to others (see things inaccessible to others). There will be no adequate language for this, but these experiences will largely capture their attention and may not release them back into the world of ordinary perceptions—outwardly, this appears as mental abnormality, and doctors struggle greatly to treat such individuals with psychotropic drugs, unable to help them understand the nature of subtle realms and the entities inhabiting them. Satisfactory and vital flow in their meditations, in this case, will not lead to success;
