Moon-Square Uranus
(Transit. Moon → Natal Uranus)
Avelom Podvodny. Aspects
Moon’s semisquare: Do you always remember, when talking to a person, that before you is a microcosm? This is the most difficult aspect; most often it indicates an inner fragmentation which the person tries in every way to hide from themselves, since their core inner feeling tells them that everything is exactly as it should be with them, while other people and external circumstances are somehow not quite right—but in any case, that’s their personal issue. In reality, everything is the opposite, but the Moon barely admits its flaws. In the areas of the Planet, the person will have limited and rigid perception programs that ruthlessly reject and ignore everything that doesn’t fit into them, yet the person won’t notice this, believing they see and feel perfectly everything that is necessary, and may even feel superior to others whose perception is indeed limited. The discomfort lies in the fact that beyond their clear perception, at a low level of aspect integration, the person won’t notice anything, including subtle nuances and half-tones, and will instinctively strive to prove to the world that these subtleties don’t actually exist. Often this aspect indicates formal childhood relationships with the mother, who performed her maternal functions and duties according to a fixed checklist, mentally ticking off items as they were completed. Here, (rather difficult) integration leads to the ability to build a warm, cozy home for others, anticipating their every need, but this requires first overcoming the natural egoism and emotional hardness in the Planet’s spheres. Uranus’ semisquare: Real difficulties begin when the person ceases to satisfy their own concept. At a high level of integration, this aspect grants inventiveness in assembling structures from ready-made blocks within the Planet’s sphere, where the person will receive the most unexpected and sometimes brilliant ideas, yet ultimately the house they design and build will be comfortable and cozy only for other people; if they carefully consider others’ wishes, from their own point of view the house will still seem lifeless, albeit original in construction. For example, a person with a Moon-Uranus semisquare and Uranus in the 6th house might devise an excellent system of physical exercises or self-control techniques, relaxation methods, etc., which gives only an external, superficial effect for themselves, but turns out to be deeply alive and meaningful for others, and it is precisely their feedback the person should orient themselves toward. At a low level, this aspect causes fixation on rigid whims and caprices within the Planet’s spheres, which the person cannot explain, yet they remain mandatory for them, often hurting both their surroundings and themselves. Such signs should be paid attention to, but interpreting them correctly will be difficult; there is a particular danger of dogmatic and straightforward interpretations, especially when the semisquare is afflicted, escalating to obsession.
