Sun Decile: Was the creation of man a humanistic act? This aspect poses the problem of the humanity of one’s own volitions and initiatives in a person’s life, as well as (usually weak) imperative influences of fate in the sphere of the Planet’s influence. In its sphere, a person will be relatively free, and will have to regulate their will based on considerations of humanism – as they understand it. At the very least, the thought of humanity or this very theme will arise in connection with the (usually weakly expressed) necessity to do something in the sphere of the Planetary principle or to manifest a certain personal initiative within it. With a harmonious Sun, these initiatives will be appropriate and will appear humane; with an afflicted Sun, a person will often be overly active, and the result, despite the best intentions, will turn out deplorable and disharmonious, especially if the Planet is afflicted and its principle is difficult to satisfy; meanwhile, they will experience external violence against their will in the spheres of the Planet as absolutely anti-humanistic, although direct actual harm in the spheres of the Planet will, as a rule, be minor. Saturn Decile: The misfortune of people lies not only in the fact that they do not understand their own happiness – they also do not understand each other. The interpretation of the aspect depends on the level of development of Saturn, the Planet, and the horoscope in general. At a low and medium level, this aspect gives a specific kind of humanism in the spheres of the Planet, as an aspiration to make people happy by maximally limiting their freedom, which (in the person’s opinion) quickly becomes the freedom of evil: external and internal. This person sees (in the spheres of the Planet) the happiness of an individual and humanity in order, organization, rigid structure, and routine. With an afflicted Saturn, this can take on terrible forms (totalitarianism, bureaucracy); with a harmonious Saturn, a person will, for example, participate with humanistic enthusiasm and uplift in the creation of an artificial environment that separates man from uncontrollable and anarchic nature – the builders of modern machine civilization. The development of the aspect proceeds through a deep study of human nature, primarily as a fact of one’s inner life, and on this path, many profound truths can be grasped, especially if one begins the study with oneself and the structure of one’s inner world and subconscious in the spheres governed by the Planet. Then the rigidity of humanitarian attitudes will be replaced by their depth; specifically, a person will get rid of painful experiences and the feeling of their vulnerability in spheres related to the Planet (for example, an undeveloped Mars-Saturn decile gives a feeling of human weakness and inability to resist aggression, but a sharp sense of aggression, or rather, a sharp feeling of its anti-humanity).
