Sun Decile: Was the creation of man a humanistic act? This aspect poses the problem of the humanity of one’s own volitions and initiatives in a person’s life, as well as (usually weak) imperative influences of fate in the sphere of the Planet’s influence. In its sphere, a person will be relatively free, and will have to regulate their will based on considerations of humanism – as they understand it. At the very least, the idea of humanity or this very theme will arise in connection with the (usually weakly expressed) necessity to do something in the sphere of the Planetary principle or to manifest a certain personal initiative within it. With a harmonious Sun, these initiatives will be appropriate and appear humane; with an afflicted Sun, a person will often be overly active, and the result, despite the best intentions, will turn out to be deplorable and disharmonious, especially if the Planet is afflicted and its principle is difficult to satisfy; at the same time, they will experience external coercion over their will in the spheres of the Planet as absolutely inhumane, although the direct real harm in the spheres of the Planet will, as a rule, be minor. Uranus Decile: When developing the concept of humanism, one should not be ahead of their time. In the spheres of the Planet, a person will have extraordinary and often fantastic humanistic ideas, both concerning humanity as a whole and individual people. The decile, of course, will soften Uranus’s influence, but the victim of the humanistic act will still have to recover for some time, gathering the remnants of their sense of humor and comforting themselves with the thought that the person evidently meant well. The Uranus decile also provides a certain humanism and protection of a person’s fate in the spheres governed by the Planet, but again in a characteristic Uranian style, often at the last moment, or through a harsh energetic influence. Much here depends on the level of Uranus’s development and on the ability and desire to read and account for Uranian signs of fate. A brilliant example of a skillful reading of the Uranus decile’s signs was given by Ilya Muromets, who greeted the passing disabled people who came to him, as a result of which he gained heroic strength and performed a multitude of humanistic feats, by the standards of his time. At a low level, a person in the spheres of the Planet can be very capricious and vulnerable, and may consider absolutely innocent manifestations of others towards themselves as inhumane.
