Uranus’ semi-quintile: While developing the concept of humanism, one should not outpace their time. In the areas of the planet in a person’s chart, there will be extraordinary and often fantastic humanitarian ideas, both regarding humanity as a whole and individual people. The semi-quintile will certainly soften Uranus’ influence, yet the recipient of a humanitarian act will still need some time to recover, gathering the remnants of their sense of humor and comforting themselves with the thought that the person involved clearly meant well. Uranus’ semi-quintile also provides a certain humanism and protection of fate in the areas ruled by the planet, though again in Uranus’ characteristic style—often at the last moment or through a forceful energetic intervention. Much here depends on the level of integration of Uranus and the ability and willingness to read and heed Uranian signs of fate. A brilliant example of skillfully interpreting the signs of Uranus’ semi-quintile is Ilya Muromets, who greeted visiting disabled travelers, thereby receiving heroic strength and accomplishing numerous humanitarian feats by the standards of his era. When well-integrated, this aspect grants deep understanding of the humanitarian aspects of the planetary principle and its humane application in the planet’s spheres of influence; at a high level—religious and mystical insight into the human condition: prophets and religious philosophers of a humanitarian orientation. Overall, this semi-quintile provides gentle protection of fate: when a person’s condition in the planetary areas becomes truly unbearable, they may (consciously or unconsciously) appeal for help, and divine grace will alleviate their suffering. With a strong Neptune, distinguishing genuine humanity toward others from inhumanity within the planetary areas will not be easy, requiring careful discernment.
