Jupiter sesquiquadrate: The concept of matter itself is deeply idealistic. This aspect brings formal expansion in the areas of the Planet; here, a person may be interested in scientific achievements, philosophical generalizations, or simply other directions of development, but tends to understand all this in a rather straightforward, low-level manner, exclusively from egocentric and pragmatic positions. With poor handling, a peculiar rigid pride may emerge, where the person does not accept compliments beyond the image established by themselves, yet demands its confirmation unconditionally; this behavioral pattern is a reaction to a subconscious feeling of lacking true greatness, effortless and natural breadth of possibilities characteristic, for example, of Jupiter’s trine—like a colonel looking up at a general. This individual tends to act as a benefactor, philanthropist, or patron in the Planet’s domains, but their capabilities often do not match the environment’s needs, and they must learn to account for this; here, mistakes are far more visible than with Jupiter’s semisquare, and blows to self-esteem are more painful. Proper integration allows for effective, competent, and timely assistance to others, genuine expansion of possibilities in the areas ruled by the Planet, but this requires learning to see in one’s tools not just ornamental embellishments, but also the quality of their sharpening. Saturn sesquiquadrate: When the wheel of fortune is stuck in a ditch, the cross of fate can still be carried on one’s back. This aspect brings obstacles in the Planet’s spheres similar to shackles: walking is possible, but difficult. However, the person does not always feel them (as with Saturn’s square), sometimes only intermittently, and may develop a peculiarly awkward manner of moving—ungraceful, yet mostly acceptable. Proper integration transforms the dog’s strict leash into the flexible mind of a sage who perceives the course and branches of karma even in seemingly hopeless situations, but this requires overcoming internal constraints in the Planet’s areas and realizing that in the outer world, tribute is far more effective than forced labor.
