Moon’s tridecile: Life holds approximately the same significance for this person as landscape does for a novel. The individual will tend to take very personally the developmental issues of life within the Planet’s spheres; these will resonate within them as an intimate, warm feeling and a desire to help, with a maternal undertone—such as comforting, warming, feeding, and so on. At the same time, the person may be quite selfish, striving to extract the maximum benefit from life for themselves personally, substituting genuine care with vanity centered around their own perceptions of others’ needs. A debilitated Moon may manifest considerable capriciousness in such interactions—finding much in others’ lives disagreeable and attempting to reshape them to fit their own image, while denying the inherent developmental path of others, all under the guise of sincere concern and assistance. A well-aspected Moon provides excellent intuitive understanding of life and its challenges within the Planet’s domains, along with the ability to participate appropriately, yet simultaneously may also express a similarly harmonious form of vampirism upon it. Integration leads to a symbiosis—more or less tense, depending on the major aspects of the Moon and the Planet—and enables subtle, profound self-expression through involvement in life’s development; in doing so, the person will feel their truly human essence. Pluto’s tridecile: When governing the destinies of nations, one must not forget one’s own. This aspect potentially grants a clear perception of flaws and defects in the development of life within the Planet’s spheres. With an afflicted Pluto, the individual may perceive only these flaws, resulting in an overall rather gloomy picture. A well-aspected Pluto endows the person with strong potential for effectively treating such ills—particularly eliminating parasitic forms of life—from which they may derive great satisfaction. For example, a well-integrated Pluto-Luna tridecile may produce an excellent physician (especially with a strong sixth or twelfth house), while a Pluto-Venus tridecile may manifest as a harsh art critic, biting satirist, or, with a strong Mercury, a journalist who lashes out at societal sores. At a lower level, criticism of life’s development within the Planet’s spheres may become destructive and often unjust, yet typically stems from good intentions and aims at improvement, though not always achieving it—especially if the Planet is afflicted. With severe damage to the tridecile, tendencies toward black teaching of life manifestations may emerge—conscious destruction of such forms, usually at the lowest level, as a consequence of personal frustrations accompanied by painful failures when attempting to cultivate (within the Planet’s spheres) the development of life within their inner world and express it outwardly.
