Sesquiquintile Mars – Uranus
(Transit. Mars → Natal Uranus)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Tridecile of Mars: A barrel of luck does not replace a spoon of conscience. This aspect gives a person the opportunity and desire to direct their energy in the areas of the Planet toward supporting life, in the forms in which they are inclined to perceive it. Through energetic participation in this life, self-expression successfully takes place—i.e., external realization, and often incidentally also the shaping of inner life, which, when processed, gives them a sense of belonging specifically to the human race, a rare and precious experience for the average person. The position of the Planet makes the task of supporting life processes difficult, and Mars’ affliction brings coarseness to the person’s energy, yet simultaneously emphasizes the tridecile as one of the paths toward its harmonization. Subjectively, this manifests as the person becoming softer and more delicate in the Planet’s areas, without fully understanding why, as if someone constantly reminds them: “Careful, life!” (An attentive observer will notice the softening effect of the decile, quintile, and their derivatives in people who have fallen the lowest). If Mars is harmonious, the person’s energy in the Planet’s sphere will generally be directed successfully, supporting life (in the case of Mars-Pluto tridecile, through effective elimination of its parasites), which will seem self-evident to the person, yet the result will inspire them more than they realize. Tridecile of Uranus: Non-being is by no means equivalent to not being. This aspect brings in the Planet’s areas a shared interest and more than original ideas concerning the process of life development and solving its specific problems, though overall the person’s attitude toward life will be interested and benevolent. Their ideas and considerable energy may prove highly constructive, provided Uranus is to some extent processed (meaning a creative person in general, regardless of their specific pursuits), but even in this case, these ideas will require development and materialization in relation to specific developmental issues within the Planet’s spheres, which will demand processing of its principle; otherwise, energy will remain in the form of its high-voltage discharges—like thunder, impressive in its power but quickly vanishing without any lasting consequences. This aspect has a certain protective effect, but the person usually does not notice it or attributes it to chance; however, Uranian signs, appearing as unusual whims of life in areas ruled by the Planet, can reveal much if one learns to read them, particularly helping to precisely understand, and often even find solutions to, developmental problems in the Planet’s spheres.
